SHU guy Hobbs is our new A.D.

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

Former interim Seton Hall A. D. to run RU Athletics. Has to be a plus for RU Hoops? Thoughts?

[PiscatawayMike]

Yep.

Didn't all the SHU posters whine for years that Hobbs was an RU shill and trying to destroy them? I guess they were right.

I like him already.

No, Quinlan was that guy. And imo our fears about that were foolish, Gonzo inspired paranoia.

Hobbs is the guy who hired Kevin willard. He is not highly respected as a sports mind by lots of us. Many say Christie engineered this as political payback.

[Knights 1212]

This was our part of the trade for our letting SHU have Quinlan.

I hope you don't get screwed as badly as we were.

Great, so we'll see another below average coach after EJ.

I heard his interview at halftime--very impressive guy, comes off as a leader. I think he's a winner and if he hits a home run for HC, then maybe, just maybe , Rutgers may be coming back from the brink......

[Sir ScarletKnight]

He came into the student section during the first half. Very impressed with the composure and openness.

Anything would be an upgrade over Julie Herman, who perhaps could take over for Eddie Jordan as basketball coach. (Hasn't some state politician promised that to her? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
