This St. Johns team is not your father's team. I know we're no great shakes either, but I'm going with the upset:

RU 68
ST. JOHNS 66

Look, I'll never complain about 2 wins in a row. Ever. Especially after the last 2 exquisitely painful seasons.

But I'm not sure I'll believe we should be favored to win until we actually prove that we can beat teams like St John's College.

I am predicting a blowout. This is the first game where we see what Freeman and Sanders can really do on the big stage.

According to Jerry carino at the CC meeting he said St. John's has nothing. We'll see. I'm going with my preseason pick.

Rutgers 65
St. Johns 62

Does RU have a fighting chance tonight?
Honest answers please as I don't want to waste anytime watching the game if you guys know it's a formality of a loss.

I know the refs will favor SJU, they always do in games there.

They do, but I would never tell someone to do something they didn't want to do

Why is this game not at the Garden?
We've played them at both places overactive years. It's nothing unusual.
Also because we'd probably bring dozens and dozens of fans and they have to pay a lot to use the Garden.

Except for the 1999 Big East quarterfinals we've had very light turnouts for games against them in Manhattan since we joined the Big East.

St. John's plays a lot of their lesser games in their old gym..... Not like the 70's

DVR the game. Find out the score. Then watch us win fast forwarding through commercials.

For the life of me, I don't understand your negativity. You don't want to watch our women's soccer team when they have a player or two not playing due to injury. You don't want to watch the basketball team if there's a chance they lose.

What's the point of being a fan and enjoying the games, be it on TV or in person?

I'm sure Kentucky men's basketball is on TV somewhere if it means so much to you.

I made the mistake of turning it on in the 2nd half when they were up a dozen.

Played scared and gagged it away, with big help from gutless officials who were too scared to call fouls on the home team.
