What is going on with this program. Are we not expected to even be competitive with decent schools anymore. A complete embarrassment tonight but par for the course. CVS simply never has her teams ready to play at the beginning of the year with the exception of I think one or two years here. Tonights performance may go down as one of the worst in her tenure. Completely dominated to open the game then a spirited comeback which meant absolutely nothing because they then allowed SHU to outscore them 25-6 to take a 23 point lead. This is not UConn or Stanford, its Seton Hall...a good team and well coached but not more talented than RU. Signs of this game last year in performances against Northwestern and Michigan State last year. Unfortunately I sense more of the same this year. A team not in the top 25 and on the bubble when it comes down to it...and there is A LOT of talent on this team. Youth card cant be blamed again because tonight was not even close.

Difference maker in this game is coaching. Bozella ran circles around CVS and especially in the lockerroom at halftime. You have to push the right buttons and I have no clue what CVS is doing. The team was shaky against a mediocre St Joes and now tonight.Once again it seems like every year we start from scratch with this program and don't build off of the previous seasons ending

a loss like this pretty much proves that whatever is being done in practice is BS... and listen I am not impressed by the assistant coaching staff, seem to be people just put in there on the cheap until CVS retires.

This loss is all on the coach, 100-percent. When they went man-to-man in the second quarter they went on a 12-0 run, Seton Hall couldn't touch them. So logically the coach starts the second half back in that ridiculous zone, and Seton Hall goes bombs away from three. I feel sorry for the players, who have to try and win in spite of their coach, and play in system that stifles their talents.

What an embarrassment! This loss is beyond a WTF loss. I don't care that we lost two of our best playmakers. I realize that Seton Hall has gotten much better in the last few years, but 28 points better??? This is a disgrace and BAC is right. C. Viv is accountable of this HORRIBLE LOSS!

We have a great team. Four of the starters are upperclassmen who were ranked in the top ten nationally in high school.

We lose to teams that may have one or two top one hundred player on the team.

Seton Hall and Princeton have new coaches who are working wonders considering the history of the teams. Rutgers could have possibly signed either one of them. I really do think it is time to make a change.

This pre-season an effort was made for season ticket holders to renew; it was sad to see how desparite they were to sell tickets.

Someone mentioned a year or so ago before we joined the BIG how many regular opponents have passed us by: St Johns, Syracuse, Depaul, South Florida, Louisville, to mention a few.

If today's performance is any indication of what we might see this season, I may give away my tickets and attend the Princeton games instead.

I'm disappointed for sure, but will wait and see if this loss is going to be how the team is, or just an exception to the way the team will be playing.

um, do we wait and consider the fact that her 3 assistants of the last few years left given her contract situation (that Julie put her in) and consider the impact that may have had or do we give that no deference at all at the second game of the season?

I put the game on last night, think it was the middle of the 3rd Qtr.(forgot it was on TV), saw the zone D Rutgers was using, the Hall drained two 3 pointers in a row, with no one near them. Shut TV off.

Some of us at the game were also questioning CVS's moves (or lack thereof). For a long stretch, Rachel was out there with four guards and SH continued to get 3 or 4 looks at a basket due to our being outrebounded, especially on the offensive side. Kept wondering why she wasn't giving Keeling or Harris more playing time. Rachel continues to have problems holding onto passes and finishing. I hope that Aliyah Jeune's injury isn't too serious...based on the St. Joe's game, she seems to have a nose for the ball. Not going to give up on the team, but it wasn't pretty last night and much of it does seem to come down to coaching and in-game adjustments.
