[Racpack]

Wow ! What a great job by our coaches. Welcome Joe Grello. A national championship is in sight !

[SirScarlet]

Saw this on twitter...sounds fantastic!

For those of us who are wrestling newbies, can you let tell us a little about grello?

TIA

Great News!!!
Great all around young men!!!
This recruiting class is on a roll.

KEEP THIS TRAIN MOVING!!!!

This program is really skyrocketing. Awesome job by the coaching staff.

[Jaroslav Hasek_rivals324816]

great get. i don't follow the HS results to closely but Grello is ranked 70th overall in the senior class of 2016 by Intermat and the 7th ranked HS 170lber by Flo.

the recruiting class is really taking shape. RU has guys ranked 50, 54, 62, 70 & 71 overall by Intermat. Also, if i'm not mistaken, all 10 top 100 ranked seniors from NJ (according to Intermat) have now committed. Rutgers landed 4 of them, the other 6 went to PSU, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Stanford (again) and Maryland. this will be a fun class to watch as they work their way through their college careers.

[Abro1975]

Grello also ranked 7th in USA at 170 by Flo Wrestling. Nice pick up from Bergen Catholic joins Kevin Mulligan (8th in USA at 195 Flo, and Matt Correnti, 10th in USA

Heck of an upper weight classes job by Coach G !

[FoxRU]

With these guys in the fold we need to get Andrew Howe to join the SKWC/RTC. That would really help their development. Anyone know where he is training right now?

[belushijo]

Coaches are doing a really good job focusing on areas of need this recruiting cycle. Should make for a strong foundation for the future.

[rufeelinit]

Nice!

[coachkos]

i believe Howe has a great relationship with Pritzlaff

[Abro1975]

Is Coach Leo still the coach for the upper weight guys? What's his rep ? Does Coach G roll on the mat with the big boys too ?

[Passe24]

Hugeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! So pumped to get both. Muligan and Grello are future upper weight stars for sure. Donny staring to pay off and it shows.

"my academic and wrestling career" sure rings right. Welcome aboard. BTW the Intermat rankings are out today and all six recruits are ranked. Paetzell (4),Mackall (10), Donner (14), Grello (7) Mulligan (7) and Correnti (5). Outstanding job by the Rutgers staff. $$$$

Thanks. Talk about depth. $$$$

Unbelievable - 7 top 20 Recruits in their respective weight classes. The coaches are killing it - get on board before this train leaves the station.

[AreYouNUTS]

BAMM! HUGE get for Goody and crew!

[RU93]

Great job, coaches!

[Lips Manus]

Nj has more studs that are juniors. Hopefully this becomes a trend where top nj talent stays. Can't keep them all but need to get your piece of the pie.

[downtowncharlotteterp]

Great Pickup for you guys. Rutgers is killing it on the recruiting trail in this fall signing period. You're upperweights are going to be stacked. That's a sick group of talent joining you next year. Good to see Jersey guys staying home.

[Lips Manus]

Did they all sign their letter of intent yesterday?

[RU2007RSLN2010]

So with these commits I believe Rutgers will have 4 wrestlers out of Bergen Catholic. Love to see my high school and college working together.

[Abro1975]

Well, we may be recruiting BC well for Football lately, but Wrestling , Wow ! Nice job by the staff! BC Football senior DL/LB Dan DeLornzi recently changed his mind from wrestling for Princeton to playing Football at Columbia. My hometown team Cedar Grove could have used him big time, along with Cedar Grove's Tom DeVito now starting QB at Bosco. That's a lot of talent coming from a tiny town.

Did they all sign their letter of intent yesterday?

Yesterday was the last day to sign National Letter of Intend and today RUWrestling tweeted the following.

"Welcome to #RUWR Matthew Correnti, Brett Donner, Joe Grello, Alex Mackall, Kevin Mulligan and Brandon Paetzell!"

So it appears that Michael Van Brill didn't sign during the period.

[dollarbill]

Maybe he is a walk on with no scholarship money. Just speculating. $$$$

[wngarbarini]

He did not sign because he had to take SATs first.

[RU93]

What a great class of student athletes! I'm pumped!
