Season Tickets?

I requested paper tickets and received them today. But they are generic white tickets, no booklet, and no parking passes.

Same here. We prefer tickets as we have 4 tickets, but there are 8 different people that could go on any given night, so we don't want to have to deal with trying to get back cards etc.

The whole no book thing, just plain tickets bundled in a rubber band is a little baffling. And no schedule too... smh

Great question. Why don't you call and ask. (Or maybe I'll just do that, and see if I can get in with my phone.)
I called and asked. They had no idea if we could do this. What do you expect?

You'd think with as few basketball season ticket holders as there are that a little more effort and thought could be put into this.

It's like someone woke up last week and realized the season was about to start and that they'd better get the tickets printed and mailed.

Like that famous dream that everyone has had...when you suddenly become aware you have to take the final exam for a class you haven't attended all semester.

Got mine yesterday. Re-upped early, wasn't given an option - was told everyone getting cards. I groused about it - got cards and individual game parking passes. Hopefully the cards scan better than the tickets did prior years - usually had to wait for 2-3 scans before I could get in.

LOL. On to option 2. Just take a picture and see if you can get in with your phone (but carry the card in your wallet, just in case).

got my paper tickets today and the order was correct...go figure. Looking forward to the Howard game. The Newark game is just plain silly.

I renewed via a phone call from ticket office and was told nothing about this new card system. This is first I am hearing about it. If given the choice I would take the tickets over the card but looks like I was given no choice.

Rutgers really knows how to welcome their long suffering fans back for the start of another magical season!

Ok so mystery solved then...

The ticket office simply ran hard copy tickets themselves for those types of orders, while the cards were printed and shipped from Little Rock.

Sounds like there was never going to be a bound fancy ticket book at all...

If that's the case, I'm good with my cards! Still...I did select the ticket option so why wasn't that the way my order was fulfilled?

Truth be told, once the games start... I won't even care. I'm just a big fan of the ticket stub

Could this card thing actually make last minute transfer of tickets easier via email? Has anyone used this system to transfer tickets, is it simple to use?

I don't have bball tickets but are they really doing away with hard tickets in place of these cards? So if someone wants to give/sell tickets away they have to do it online with $5 fee per ticket? Bad idea in my opinion, and I'm 26.

Also epic fail for giving fans cards who requested tickets. Why give them the option?

It is funny reading this thread and all the complaints. If none of you have tried the ticket transfer I suggest you try it first before you comment.

I transferred multiple tickets over the past two years to friends and people I spoke to on here to give away tickets for free and it was the easiest possible way. It send them an email and they can use that to scan into the games. Simple! I can also see this as a way for RU to save a few $$$ rather than printing out tickets.

The only issue in ticket transfer is of
You have to transfer parking as well which is a hard copy. They should figure that out and then everything would be great.

MIne were sent directly from the ticket office in Piscataway.

Plain white generic tickets wrapped with a rubber band.

Me too - a f'in RU250 magnet and the cheap *** white tickets like u would get if u walked up to the ticket window and got them on game day. Just bundled in a rubber band. Nothing else at all in the envelope. Are these mf'ers kidding me!?!? I am so done with all of this ****. Let's just face it - we got into the B1G so we could get all the REAL teams on TV in our local market so the recruits could see them and then leave this area to go to a real program. THIS ATHLETIC DEPT IS RUN BY A BUNCH OF AMATEUR HACKS AND WE ARE BECOMING THE LAUGHINGSTOCK OF BCS CONFERENCE ATHLETICS. That includes coaches, administrators, Julie, all the way down the line, the whole lot of them. I'm done. Donations stop on July 1 2016. PSU, OSU, MSU, et. al. must love this: they get their all games broadcast in the east, they kick the living **** out of RU, then tour the state while they're here and tell NJ recruits to come to a real program and the conf gets all of this for one third of the cost (share) that the other schools get. And plus with all of our scandals, missteps, and stupidity, it's not even a tough sell. It's like the gift that keeps on giving!!!!!!!

I asked for and got tickets.

They are not in a book, but are generic looking in a stack wrapped with a rubber band.
I was totally surprised that that I got a pile of tickets with a rubber band and a magnet...I was never offered a card.....not very professional

When are they supposed to ship out? I would think that especially since they are going to the season ticket card option (which I did), this should be fairly simple. The season starts on 11/13, so we aren't too far away here. RU sure waits until the last minute with this stuff...
anyone get the parking passes?
I received the tix with no parking.

Got my parking passes with my ticket card.

I really don't know why everyone is bitching. If you had hard tickets you need to get them to your friends etc anyway and sometimes that is a pain especially last minute. Now you just transfer via email (free) and they print out the ticket.

Did anyone with the paper tickets get their parking passes yet? I left a message for my ticket rep.

Not season ticker related but I think RU might want to re-think charging $65 for a 100 level seat for the likes of UMass-Lowell, Central Connecticut and Rutgers-Newark. Just a thought.

So one of the things I really like about the card is I can put an image of the card on my phone. Since I always have my phone with me, I don't have to worry about forgetting my tickets.
