if he goes out of bounds at the 1, there's probably 25% chance that our offense could've wasted a play or two and scored. He should know better than to make our defense go back on the field.

(Kidding obviously, he is unbelievable)

He should have known that our defense would let that happen. Definitely on Grant. He should have also insisted on playing defense.

I was thinking that when he took it in.

We easily could have run it in from the 1, but you'd have to take a knee on 1st down to actually run any clock

That would had truly been a ballsy call, but it probably would have worked.
Tough to try it, though

A DISGRACEFUL LOSS that is on Rossi, the softest DL in America and on the biased and pathetic officials!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such weak sauce penalties vs RU and hardly anything called vs WSU whose WR's were holding on day long.

How the defense could not make a stop that last drive is an EMBARRASSMENT

Fire Rossi and those officials deserved to be suspended too. what a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have liked it if Janarian danced along the 1ft line playing keep away for a minute........ but with our luck he gets flagged for excessive celebration "before the fact" and we get a 15yd penalty and no TD(hey,it makes as much sense as some of the calls those zebras made LOL)

Why not try Grant at DB????? Can't be any greener than what we have out there and could bring a veteran presence...

I think you take the guaranteed points, also if you recall WSU had 2 timeouts left. So we take 2 knees, barely any clock is run off. 3rd down we go in presumably, and if were stuffed, leave it to 4th down? Even if in on 3rd down then yeah we took their timeouts away but wasnt worth the risk. This whole situation just showed how much everyone in the stadium knew that giving them the ball back period was gonna cost us big...

I would never expect him to do that but I was thinking he scored too fast right then as well. 1:31 and 2 time outs..we were screwed...when was the last time this defense made an end game stop when needed?

yup, seems dumb, but too bad he wasn't tackled at the one--we would have scored but killed 30 seconds or more

You have to be kidding with the switch to defense. Grant is not a big guy physically and is without question the top playmaker on the team now..with Carroo suspended. He's one of the few guys who can make a big offensive play. They need to continue to use him on special teams and on offense.

guess I'll have to go back and look at what we did with Mary and WSU last yer. don't recall those. I do remember Michigan..that was a special Teams play that saved our bacon...although a long FG attempt. Guess the negative ones stick in my head too much because they are so painful..Navy (guy missed TD by a foot) and PSU come to mind..

Well, the first thing I thought of after going nuts when Grant scored was "we left too much time on the clock!" Then when I saw Jacobs going up for the INT I thought "we're gonna win this!" Then when I saw them signal catch for the WSU receiver off the tip I thought "That was our chance... I've seen this script before ... we're gonna lose."

But yeah... glad the OP was kidding, but we might have had a better shot at winning if someone pushed Grant out of bounds at the 1 yard line.
