That young man's character and the way he carries himself are every bit the equal of his skills on the football field...and all 3 elements are off the charts!

It is my belief that RUsso was the best option at qb for Rutgers in the class. I had bought the hype on the other guys, but the more I see and hear from RUsso, the more excited I become to see him compete against those guys. He's going to shine here.

Russo is the best option but we had to wait for guarantano to pick elsewhere.

Same as Rettig is the best option at qb. We have to wait for Laviano to not perform.

As hype as it would have been if JG had picked RU, and JG might have been awesome here, but the potential for disaster with him was so huge. RUsso is as perfect as it gets for this program.

I am pretty glad that Guarantano didn't commit to Rutgers. I never had a good feeling about that. He is just not the type of kid who succeeds here. I think both sides are better off with the way things worked out.

I am really excited to see Russo playing for Rutgers. Hopefully Laviano (or Rettig) perform well enough this year that we can redshirt him...I am sure that is the plan.

It's great too that we can groom him for 2 years before looking to him to start.

The thought of 5+ years of high level QB play in our future makes me happy.

When you look at production and not hype, getting Russo is a no brainier.

Kid is a winner.

Or Giovanni? But some of these guys are going to get squeezed. Rettig is feeling it now, but assuming we get high level play from that position, it only stands that there will be QB's, perhaps very talented QB's, watching from the sidelines.

also remember how the staff regarded Russo's talents as he was offered well before JG and DH committed!!

I'm repeating myself again here.. But what does he look like with pressure in his face? Likely he's not that mobile - so how he reacts with big defensive lineman prowling down on him, will make a difference
