I wanted to share with you an interesting tidbit about Freeman and an interesting angle that finally paid off for us. This was premium info, so I waited until it was old news before I shared, mods if you still don't like it I will delete it (I thought maybe it can sell the premium site though to some of the bball fans).

One of the factors in him picking us is that his favorite team is the Washington Wizards, and his favorite player was Gilbert Arenas. It was the first thing he mentioned in the interview. It seems like he loves the idea of being coached by the guy who coached his favorite player.

I hope the trend starts where players in the state of Rutgers want to play for a coach that brought us a couple BIG and NCAA championships

That tidbit has been in a few of the media articles on Freeman's commitment.
