I would have to agree. 5 of the top 6 came in after DT came on board. In most years, that would be a #1 class easilyExcellent class for 25. That has to be the 2nd best recruiting class.
The guys on FRL said that the flip of Vega moved us to #1. Cornell had been #1I would have to agree. 5 of the top 6 came in after DT came on board. In most years, that would be a #1 class easily
100%I think too little is made of the pickup of Kody Routledge. The kid is #15 pound-for-pound.
I guess I’m one of those who has a underwhelming view as I’m pretty surprised how high Kody is on this P4P. Given his resume I would have expected him to be somewhere in the 30-40 range. I might just be hung up on all of his losses to Kael Voinovich which were over a year ago, but at the same time, he did not look great against a sophomore Melvin Miller just earlier this summer—the same guy who we saw Robideau manhandle while wrestling up a weight at WNO. If he has jumped levels, it’s not showing in the results yet.100%
I think people have a slightly underwhelming view of him because he’s a late bloomer and John didn’t want him. He also didn’t blow people away at Fargo. The kid has been jumping levels by leaps and bounds though and I think he’s a future hammer
That’s all fair. My point is that the kid wasn’t even a finalist for state his fr or soph year. Hes absolutely a late bloomer and has come on a lot quickly. He also lost a one takedown match to Miller who ended up being the champ and is the #1 ranked soph in the country. Villasenor just beat Dom and then lost to an 8th grader at super 32. These young kids are way ahead.I guess I’m one of those who has a underwhelming view as I’m pretty surprised how high Kody is on this P4P. He’s obviously very good, it just seems that he’s a tier below Dee, Vega, and Robideau right now.
I think most of this group, besides obviously Dee, are all late bloomers. I love it. You can tell this staff has done their research. Wrestling is a difficult sport and burnout and injury is a real thing. That’s all fair. My point is that the kid wasn’t even a finalist for state his fr or soph year. And it’s a good point on Landon. I think he’s as good as #1 right now. He’s the steal of the class imo.
I think we are 1 unless Blaze goes to PSU or maybe Cornell. The guys on FRL said that the flip of Vega moved us to #1. Cornell had been #1
Very unlikely us. PSU/tOSU front runners is what I’ve heard randomly but he’s been keeping it pretty quietAny info on where Blaze is heading? I would love him at OSU of course, but its been said PSU is the leader for some time now.
60/40 PSU. tOSU has relationship. PSU has culture.Very unlikely us. PSU/tOSU front runners is what I’ve heard randomly but he’s been keeping it pretty quiet
Get that devil outta you! Pray for tOSU at least!I’ll be shocked if it’s not PSU.
Be awesome from a parity standpointHe wants to stay close to home. Don't count Purdue out just yet.
I think we’ve been considered the favorite for a while now. That was partly because of his relationship with Coleman tho. Still think he’s really close with Zo and he seems to be good friends with Dee. Plus you know, DT.What are our chances with Jax Forrest?
I would like to see him go to Lehi. I believe he lives close to them, (if he doesn’t come to us that is).Be awesome from a parity standpoint
50/50 at best I think. What are our chances with Jax Forrest?
I think we’re right in there but nothing is guaranteed. I think Ohio St is pushing hard and PSU is PSU.What are our chances with Jax Forrest?
Whoa there Cowboy. I thought we was friends. I'm okay if you get Jax. Be happy if we get Blaze. I agree on Iowa lol.I don't think we get him either. Too much chatter...
Honestly, I hope he goes anywhere but PSU or Iowa.
Is it because of a late push by tOSU and PSU, or did Jax have a connection with someone on the old staff and that may have impacted things a little?50/50 at best I think.
We were the favorite, but I am not sure that is the case anymore?
Haha, I short typed that.Whoa there Cowboy. I thought we was friends. I'm okay if you get Jax. Be happy if we get Blaze. I agree on Iowa lol.
Coleman was the original link to OSU. I think he was a borderline lock at one point. Is it because of a late push by tOSU and PSU, or did Jax have a connection with someone on the old staff and that may have impacted things a little?
Actually Blaze lives near Toledo. Lehigh is in far eastern PA. A solid 8 hour drive. I was under the impression that the family would love for him to be within driving distance. Purdue, tOSU, Mich, and PSU fit the bill. PSU being the furtherest at 5 hours.I would like to see him go to Lehi. I believe he lives close to them, (if he doesn’t come to us that is).
That will be homecoming weekend too right?Word is Jax and Bo are coming Nov 22 to our first home dual against Wyoming. Really hoping we see 10,000 people or more in the stands creating an environment that will hopefully sway them our direction!
Not sure. That will be homecoming weekend too right?
Just checked. Unfortunately not. Homecoming is November 2nd. We do have a home game against taco tech on the 23rd tho.Not sure.
It would be nice if the football team played well just in case that is something that is important to them... but I'm not counting on itJust checked. Unfortunately not. Homecoming is November 2nd. We do have a home game against taco tech on the 23rd tho.
Haha, Gundy is the Jack Spates of Football in Oklahoma. It would be nice if the football team played well just in case that is something that is important to them... but I'm not counting on it
