If he can say that after he beats Iowa, that would be great. Saying that after beating Little Rick is like saying it after you beat up your little brother. 🤔😒
You have to beat your kid brother before you beat the big boys. AJ has shown that after beating a good defensive wrestler this afternoon, he has the mental strength to dominate tonight.

Fun little fact about Ferrari (think I have this right)...

He has 1 domestic loss in his career. He lost in the finals of Reno during his freshman year of HS. That was Dec '16. Since then he's won everything he competed in - duals, all star bouts, Reno, Beast of the East, Folkstyle Nationals, Ironman, Fargo, Cadet Nationals & Junior Nationals. But the kicker...Flo ranked him #10 on their final Big Board.

Their assessment of high school wrestlers is effected by injury and not wrestling. AJ and Dustin were rated 1 and 2 at the beginning of the season they were injured and did not wrestle all year. Therefore Flo dropped them to 10 and 11 maybe to punish them for not wrestling all year. I like you thought how foolish to think those 2 wrestlers should be viewed as not as good a college prospects as Chase Soldate, Josh Saunders, Robert Howard, Hunter Catka or Lachlan McNeil.

Amos and Ferrari were 1-2 back and forth in their class since their sophmore years? Crazy they never met tho.

I know, just giving Flo a little grief. I like Chase Saldate BTW. Was hoping DC sent him our way.

Just watched the Little Rock dual. Lee Roy said Witcraft weighed in around 131 today. Anyone know what's up with that? He can't wrestle 125 at the Cowboy Challenge now. Will he still get another ranking match with Mastro?

AJ had a rep for offense but the other stuff is what has impressed me most. He seems impossible to score on. Woodley is a big, strong experienced dude and could not finish shots. He also seems to be in complete control out there. His composure is impressive for a freshman. I'm sure he will slip up at some point but dudes better start getting their shots in now.

Just heard this too and it makes little to no sense, why not weigh in at a weight that still allows the drop to 125 else be increasing weight and be at 133?

I'm not as clued in as most but maybe they feel like he is a backup either way and they feel a lot better about Burkes being the back up at 125 than anyone they have at 133 (if something were to happen to Fix).

But then why weigh in down at 131?

The only thing I can think of is that weighing in at 131.6 (think that was the #) allows him to still make 125 for Big12s. I think being at 133 would not have allowed enough time based on the descent rules.

No earthly clue. Maybe he is getting his weight back up and its just not there yet? Honestly have no idea.

I know I'm in the minority but it is not a real concern to me because I think Mastro is the better option at 25 and obviously Fix is 33.

Yeah that could be it just in case an injury to Mastro. And with looking like Mastro having 125 spot locked maybe don't want the two wrestling each other (injury concern) the 14th but perhaps want Witcraft in the 133 bracket on 14th just to make sure there are enough guys to give Fix the matches he needs.

Speaking of injury our knee braces seems to be increasing versus just sleeves. Which makes sense as the season goes on. Also I wonder how much Dustin's shoulders are bothering him. I was really surprised how few shots he took in the Little Rock match.

For those who missed the Little Rock match due to the super bowl. His shoulders definitely seem like they are an issue. The tape job kind of gives the Impression

I was wondering the same thing, he was not aggressive at all, which is unusual for him. Didn't he have shoulder surgery his senior year?
