Liberty won the tournament with 600 pts, Baylor (Chattanooga) 2nd and Tuttle was3rd with 550 pts.Several Oklahoma teams including Mustang at 4th and Choctaw 5th. Tuttle did not take OK State recruits Plott and surber or else they would have won the tournament.
Several wts had two 1st place winners as Stillwater had both champions at 106 in Sam Smith and Cael Hughes. Sam had a major decision in the finals.

I would think that Sam Smith is John's son? Somewhere I thought he was going to stay in the 8th grade because he weighed like 85 pounds and short? He wrestled well but some guys were just too big for him. Some of the kids he wrestled looked like they would be 2 weight classes above him. He needs a growth spurt which probably will happen hopefully soon.

He looked very small against the other 106 pounders in the matches I saw but good skills and a lot of them.
