Laminate (wood) flooring

Qustion-do any of you use the laminate flooring that looks like wood in your homes? Or have you looked at doing this?

I have some. Wish I didn't. Used to have wood in part of my downstairs. Had a flood. Contractor convinced me to do the entire downstairs in laminate. Looked good for a while, but where it has been scratched or dinged, it can't be fixed without replacing the whole piece of laminate.
Previously, I could just get out the little can of stain and make it look good as new.

I love mine. Get a high quality laminate.

The decorator is suggesting using some decent stuff. She's putting it in her $400k house. Im just trying to weigh The options. I'm not all that up to speed as far as what people are doing in new construction right now.
