All times Eastern,
It was a running joke for years, the double OT home win was always on meanwhile there was about 20 other games they could've shown, thanks for the correction Blair! Now...who was the RB who scored the game winning TD that day..w/out looking it up I don't recall.
Oh, I know. JC's 5/15 for 53 yards is seared into my memory forever. It was a running joke for years, the double OT home win was always on meanwhile there was about 20 other games they could've shown, thanks for the correction Blair! Now...who was the RB who scored the game winning TD that day..w/out looking it up I don't recall.
I do remember Iowa converted a crazy 2nd or 3rd and long in OT to Paul Cheney.
Big shoulder pads were certainly the rule of the day back then! Holy Cow! It had to be difficult for a receiver to catch a ball thrown above his shoulders! And QBs throwing motion had to be affected.2000 iowa-psu football on now. Freshman Nate Kaeding just made 48 and 49yrders despite the (in retrospect) gigantic shoulder pads. Played nearly a quarter-century ago...it doesn't seem _that long ago...or does it?
