Barnhizer coming back?

Well he can pursue a waiver but it will require the NCAA redshirt rule to change.

If you play one game in a season you can't redshirt.
Unless you sustain a season-ending injury.
Then you can apply for a medical redshirt, but the injury must occur before the midpoint of the season AND you cannot have played in more than 30% of your team's games.

On the other hand, there are people talking about getting rid of redshirts and giving everybody 5 seasons. If that is what is takes to get Barnhizer back, I'm still totally opposed.

Makes no sense that the BB rules and FB rules are so different, FB can play 1/3 of season and still RS, BB can't play even one game? If challenged, hard to see how NCAA wins that one
