Boo Buie was named as the B1G’s only Cousy Award finalist:

In a related fine whine of the day, Hammer and Rails can’t understand why Braden Smith wasn’t selected, maybe because they haven’t had the heart to watch a replay of the December 1 game for a side by side comparison:

Pretty classic Purdue activity in that comment section. Even from that article, some Purdue fan was able to find a reason to complain about how bad the refs were in the game against Rutgers.

Truly never seen a fanbase complain about refs more than that group. It’s ALWAYS on the refs…Even in victory…Even in an article that has nothing to do with winning, losing, or referees.

If you factor in "how would this dude look if he was not playing with the most dominant player in college ball", there's no one with 1/2 a brain that would ever think to include Smith in such lists.

They find a reason to complain about Painter in every game too.

This is not a list of finalists, its the top current candidates. The best part is that their is asterisk after the heading at the top of the lists that says that a players can play their way onto the list at anytime during the season.

So it’s just a meaningless tweet designed to spur meaningless publicity?

They’re winning! Argh.

(Like Fan Voting for the Cousy award, which opens on Friday, this aggrieved post is sponsored by Dell Technologies.)
