Gamecock fan here and just trying to track how Hilinksi is faring up there. Not seeing as much press for your spring practices as we get down here and can't see if/when y'all have a spring game scheduled.

I think he got a raw deal down here and we'll regret letting him get away.

Nope. Last Saturday was a closed practice, except for families. Nice shot of the Hilinskis:



There is also an interview at the first spring media day. He's the 3rd interview.....

Gotcha, thanks! I think I've seen all that...just wasn't aware y'all didn't actually have a spring game. Do you normally have one in non-covid years?

Fitz is kind of a privacy freak. It's a pretty hot topic for us fans. We generally think he is the greatest coach NU could wish for, one of the very best in college football but most of us would like to be tickled by more information and hype.

FItz is real secretive and keeps everything close to the vest, to the disappointment of many of us diehard fans. It’s too early on Hilinski. He was only here for a few practices. I think the odds are strong he’ll be the starter but I don’t think it’s A lock. He’ll have to earn it by beating out the underrated incumbents.

Sounds like both Johnson and Hilinski had strong springs. Should be a real live competition in the fall, which can only be a good thing.

Haven't actually had one for quite some time. Fitz wants to keep the opening play a secret... deep handoff to 2nd I back over center.

I don't know of many Gamecocks fans who are mad at him. He was royally screwed over by nepotism last year. Was really hoping the new HC and OC would convince him to stay but, whatever happened behind closed doors, that didn't happen.

I have been following him on Twitter for quite a while. It amazes me that when he post some thing so many gamecock fans respond with great things to say about him and best wishes. It seems that we got a great guy both on and off the field., And that South Carolina has a lot of really great fans

Keep coming back here. We need more outsiders on this board who have rooting interests for our program.

We certainly hope for the former. We have upgraded our offensive line (although losing a top 10 NFL draft OT who sat out 2020) and receiver corps in recent years. Hilinski should have some weapons to work with.
