Strange, since Kuhbander is still on the roster.....
The transfer is essentially a true freshman and desperately wanted to come to NU. He’ll be a PWO for a year and then take over the scholly when Koobs moves on. He could probably take over kick off duties this year, as it seems he has a stronger leg than Koobs for those purposes.

He has four years of eligibility and coming as a PWO... literally no downside.
I thought it was strange because when I read the articles it left the impression he transferred from MSU because a 5th year kicker returned the Spartans and he wanted a shot somewhere to kick in 2021. I get that he has 4 years of eligibility left, just thought that Charlie has the inside track to the job at NU.

Charlie still does have the inside track. The kid's MSU scholarship was probably going to be yanked.

Tucker strikes again. He's making it easy to hate MSU football again, D'Antonio was mostly a class act. And we need revenge for our brain fart loss to them last year.

Dantonio was a class act until he called the rapist's mother instead of the Police (and kicking him off the team and out of school)

Belatedly, this is excellent news and takes the pressure off landing a top kicker in upcoming recruiting classes and/or scouring the grad transfer market year after year. If he indeed turns out to be a really good one, this is a low-key huge pickup.
