NU 2022 NFL Draft Prospects?

I don't really see a lot of NFL draft prospects among the senior class at Northwestern. Hunter Johnson probably has the most potential if reports that he looks much better/ more comfortable are true and he has a really big year, but that's a long shot (but there are certainly examples of one year wonders that rocket QBs up draft boards).

Outside of the senior class, there are a lot of juniors and redshirt sophomores that have been biding their time to show what they can do, so don't have a lot of game tape yet. The one outlier of course is Brandon Joseph, who I think can be a Day 2 pick with another big year.

What do you guys think?

I have an eye on Cam Mitchell as draft prospect but I don't think he is ready for next year's draft.

Ohio State two first round receivers. NU has a great Soph Left Tackle who can be 1st round in a couple years. Joseph can go Day 2.

So he got the most out of his time herer...a degree, recognition for his exploits on the field, and drafted in the first round. Can't ask any more than that as goals when entering college. Drafted by the Browns at the best time in their recent history with a NU degree to fall back on after he is finished with this part of his life.

Not to mention a pretty impressive fiancé.

Assuming that Skoronski and Joseph don’t declare early, possibly the best shot at getting drafted belongs to Samdup Miller. But he would have to have a very good senior year to get back on the radar, followed bye a good Combine performance.

Looking down the road, the aforementioned duo, plus players like Mitchell, Hampton, Kirtz, some of those young linemen, and perhaps even Edwards or Butler could become NFL draft picks.

Obviously that is lots of conjecture, but I think there’s a lot of talent on this roster. Now we have to develop it

What if Hunter Johnson has a Joe Burrow-like emergence?

If he puts it together, he's our best shot. Though I will say that Joe Burrow had a pretty damn good year in 2018, so for LSU fans, he didn't come out of nowhere (the offense certainly did).

Peter has another year after this one before he is eligible to be drafted......

If NU can come up with another B1G West championship and a bowl win. A lot of people will get a look at least in the late rounds. Nothing like team success to send a message that there are players somewhere on the team.

Eh. We would’ve had more than three guys drafted this year if that held true.
