This game is not going in the right direction. So Ramsey is interception prone? I guess we need Bowser.

The Nebraska dline is dominating the oline. Ramsey isn’t the problem just like the QBs weren’t the big problem last year. It’s bad play calling, bad line play, and receivers who can’t get open. That’s why an accomplished big ten QB like Ramsey looks bad.

It’s hard to say it but we are outschemed today on both sides of the ball. That, in addition to Ramsey being “off” and Bowser being out, we have very little shot at this one unless
1. Major adjustments made on both O and D
2. We even the turnover ratio.

For crying out loud, we were leading 7-6 with 1:30 left in the half and looking to get the ball to start the second. Somehow that ends up 1:30 later with us barely avoiding a 20-6 deficit going into half.

D is playing well, containing the damage to its minimum. We need to settle down on O and play our game. We adjust well during half time.
Come out and score. We win.

Just watching a recording of the game for the first time now...figured I may as well use this thread.

Great to see Raine get involved right off the bat with an easy pitch/catch. (Looks like we just ran it again)

Error on that first 3rd and 7 for NU...either the C or Drake should have picked up the blitzing LB...6 man protection scheme.

At first glance I thought that was 1 back power for the Drake Anderson TD. Upon further review it almost looked like a lead counter/trap type of play. Great block by Urban, great block by Raine, and good stalk/seal block by Malik Washington (?) on the crack from his short split WR spot.

RB by committee...def seen Anderson, McGowan ran the ball, Hull, Cam Porter, Jesse Brown.

Raine just converted a 3rd and long...he is a weapon.

Oof...tried counter again on 3rd and 3 with Hull and got destroyed by the corner blitz. Good timing on call by Nebraska.

And the loss on the play may have had an impact as Kuhbander misses the FG.

So...I don't know if this continues, but the lateral running plays to the running backs (non-jet plays) don't seem to be working very well. Not sure yet if that's something Nebraska is doing but they are running to the ball well.

Ramsey just threw a pick...very much an underthrown ball and that's unfortunate because there was some room for Ramsey to put it deeper.
