I posted on the pay board but no way his tape justifies anything less. He looks like a stud with some ridiculous numbers.Aidan upgraded to 247 composite 4 star player.

It means he got better this spring. Probably did extra pushups and had some protein bars.Does this now mean he’s a good player?!? Glad to see him get some recognition
I think everyone knows being a 4 star versus a 0 star doesn’t change the actual player walking on to the practice field for the first time. What it does change is fans expectations and more importantly perception.Does this now mean he’s a good player?!? Glad to see him get some recognition

I agree with this only because we now have a four-star recruit.I think everyone knows being a 4 star versus a 0 star doesn’t change the actual player walking on to the practice field for the first time. What it does change is fans expectations and more importantly perception.
It gets poo pooed around here by some, but imo there is such a thing as “recruiting buzz”. Get some 4-5 star recruits and other players getting recruited take notice. If I am a 4-5 star recruit, I want to insure I am going to a team with other highly regarded recruits. My thought process as a 17 year old isn’t, “ I know they are mostly 0 or 2 stars, but I watched the film, these guys are good, the rating services got it all wrong. It’s also not, I am making a 40 year decision, so what if there isn’t enough talent to consistently compete for a B1G title. Plenty of teams like ND sell the 40 year decision. I want the best of both.
Doesn’t change the player, but changes the perception of the program, which in turn opens the door to more potential talented players.
Absolutely agree. I like having 4 stars in our classes. I really like having good players in our classes. AA is a good player.Completed a bunch of passes in their spring practices
I do agree w PPD above though. Perception is reality.

The more you think you know, the dumber you are.I completely disagree because I know more than all of you combined.
So there!
The more you think you know, the dumber you are.
True wisdom is knowing what you don't know. That's what the dumb people say.

Or possibly humility?
"Gladeskat: "]Correct! I don't know embroidery. Or possible humility?
Glades doesn't know good beer. He only drinks the cheap stuff he finds abandoned at state parks and after VFW jamborees.
Go to the Rock to read Josh Hemholdt's report on JJ and Glades' beer habit.Wonder how this impacts McCarthy recruitment

Not to take anything aways from his development as an individual and a player, but I think you could also argue that perception is changing about NU (finally). The consistent success over the last few years makes the rating services look bad.I think everyone knows being a 4 star versus a 0 star doesn’t change the actual player walking on to the practice field for the first time. What it does change is fans expectations and more importantly perception.

I don’t think it will impact McCarthy‘s decision either. When you look at his offer list no matter where he goes he’s going to face some tough competition for the position.A bump in star ratings won't impact things at all.
McCarthy knows that if he commits to NU he will have every opportunity to be a four-year starter, beginning either as a true freshman (on the chance Hunter leaves a year early) or a redshirt freshman (if Hunter plays all three years). Similarly, Atkinson will have a great shot to be a multi-year starter.
Absolutely agree. I like having 4 stars in our classes. I really like having good players in our classes. AA is a good player.
Great news!
With the current QBs on NU, he has always known there will be high-level competition at QB. The AA 4-star ranking only means that others are beginning to recognize it too.
I've forgotten the exact JJTBC quote on his expectations coming onto the team for the first time, but he said something like, "I'll let my play speak for itself." McCarthy likely just thinks the same.
Let's walk this guy along the lake and discuss the many exclusive NU benefits.
Sign him, and then it could be easier to sign some top WRs.
Word out here is Colorado is staying close to him. If Johnson lights it up next year they will be trying to convince him to break him commitment to the Cats. They will have an open QB spot to offer. Not surprised at all and about time.
CU fans were really bummed when AA decided not to stay home.

If I were humble, I’d be perfect.
I’m the most humble person on the entire planet.
And my kids swear I am the most humblest of the humble.

AA would only overlap HJ one season after the prerequisite Red Shirt year for a QB. We are in the day and age of QB flips and especially transfers. It’s hard to keep a 4 star QB in a back up role. The bigger factor to me is if AA feels he is the guy for those 3 remaining seasons. A lot could depend on the 2021 QB recruit, but flips happen there too. Bottom line is AA is good enough to be confident that he’ll see the field in a starter role at some time.Word out here is Colorado is staying close to him. I know guys want to start right away and play lots of football but It seems to me that two years starting would be optimal for QBs and programs.AA would only overlap HJ one season after the prerequisite Red Shirt year for a QB.
