what's your satisfaction threshold for 2018?

Just to be clear, 6.5 regular season wins and a bowl win is my universal baseline for “acceptable.” We’re reached the point as a program where that should be the expectation. A couple more years achieving that goal and the bar would probably raise to 7.5 wins and a bowl win.

What’s the difference between “acceptable” and “satisfactory”? Didn’t think I was misrepresenting your view.

Edit: I see I said satisfying which I guess might be different. I’d say that 8 would feel satisfying in just about any given year.

Apologies — didn’t mean you were misrepresenting, more that 6.5 is my over/under regardless of one-off circumstances.

Then 7 is threshold, but you said 6.5. You can keep digging this hole and look stupid. I’d love that to be honest, but the Sad thing is you can’t even admit your mistake. Are you arrogant or stupid? Either way, you’re a sad sad dude.
GCG is never wrong. Just ask him.

"Acceptable" is 6.5? Do you even think when you post? 6 doesn't hit your "acceptable" number, but 7 does. Therefore "acceptable," is 7 unless the NCAA decided that they were going to get rid of overtime and have ties again. I can't believe anyone reads your crap.

This seems really harsh.

You ever see over/under lines set at even numbers? There’s a reason for that.

@Purdue - L (0-1)
Duke - W (1-1)
Akron - W (2-1)
Michigan - L (2-2)
@Michigan State - L (2-3)
Nebraska - W (3-3)
@Rutgers - W (4-3)
Wisconsin - L (4-4)
Notre Dame - L (4-5)
@Iowa - L (4-6)
@Minnesota - W (5-6)
@Illinois - W (6-6)
Bowl - W (7-6)

That's probably the "worst case scenario" for an acceptable season in my opinion. I'm sure this board would be filled with negativity if we're 4-6 going to Minnesota, but season is still salvagable if we win out, just like it was in 2016 when we were 4-5 after losses to Ohio State and Wisconsin.

That explains it.

No personal attacks. No name calling. If you believe that you have been personally attacked, report it. Criticize the post not the poster. How hard is this for people to understand. We have less tolerance for repeat offenders, much less for people who have repeated and repeated and repeated. There is even less tolerance for posters who have personally attacked this sites publisher and/or moderators.

Do personal attacks against the moderators include NOT buying one of the mods a drink? Asking for a friend.

Refusing to buy a drink for a moderator is not a personal attack, but it is a disgrace. I hope you are not one of the guilty ones.I am concerned with your ability to live with your own guilty conscience.

It is a damned good thing that I was not promised free beverages when I took this job. As to whether or not I assumed it, that is another story. Why don’t we discuss it over a beverage. Thanks for the offer.

I think that I just got Obi-Wan'd..."These aren't the droids you're looking for."
