First-half thread for The Hat Game

[Catbeast]

Kinda like the basketball team

Guys reading too many press clippings and ranked 22.

They need to grind!!!0

[bjm989_rivals]

Yes not a great start at all. Let’s see if we can keep stopping the run and get our O into the end zone a few times. Not pretty so far!

[Alvious]

So far only one team looks like they want to be there, and it's not our team.

[Catbeast]

Frankly this is where quality coaching comes into place as well

Fitz has to have his team mentally ready to play

Not leave everything to the “leadership council”

[bjm989_rivals]

I want us to start by looking like we want to stuff the run.

[bjm989_rivals]

There we go! There’s a run stop!!!!

[Figrating]

At last we're starting to tackle the QB.

[bjm989_rivals]

Hope Hall is alright. Just seemed to land hard.

[Alvious]

Two hours from now I hope to be looking back at this thread and laughing about how negative we were and how we should have had faith that we would win.

[CatManTrue]

Hope Hall is alright. Just seemed to land hard.

It looked like they were focusing on his shoulder. Hopefully he didn’t separate it or do any major damage to his collarbone. We’ll need him in the bowl game big-time.

[scru]

16.5 of spread and all the money going to NU... the fix is in??

[bjm989_rivals]

I agree. We should win. But you just hate to see squandered opportunities. And it gives the other team confidence. We just need to punch it in here.

[bjm989_rivals]

Have we done that RPO before?

This is definitely one of the schools that one should wonder about. History.

That is precisely what will happen. The overreaction of sports and to early game results is something.

[TerraCat]

That's more like it. Great play!

[HawkCat]

Righted the ship. Let’s force a three-and-out and put more points on the board before the half.

[CatManTrue]

Nice TD catch by Dickerson there to even the game. Hopefully our team stays awake and puts this game away soon.

Thomas may be a worse passer than Minnesota’s Croft, but our crappy tackling has helped them move the ball.

That’s not how it works.

Let’s get an interception!

[freewillie07]

The slow start has reignited the rivalry to me. Maybe it was the slight fear of losing. Hope it did for the players, too.

KNOCK 'EM OUT

[bjm989_rivals]

They do have a pretty fast qb

[bjm989_rivals]

Nice D there to stop the run.

[Alaskawildkat]

Nice stop.

[scru]

That’s not how it works.

Oh yeah, right. NU shaving points because they can both win the game and enable the house to make big money? Anonymous donations made to the Wildcat Athletic Fund?

[Alaskawildkat]

Anyone else try to join the chat? All I got was a lot of computer gibberish. Maybe I need a computer instead of iPhone.

Wow what a catch.

[Alaskawildkat]

Yes , now we are leading with that TD.

[Wrestlerneverdiesasacatfan]

Great play calling by McCall! Way to mix up the plays! Go Jelani!

The chat works but it is extremely lonely in there..

Wow what a catch.

Skowronek really uses his height well. Just what the doctor ordered there.

You can chat with me anytime! Want my cell? I will give you hourly updates during the week also!

The party is here! Let’s go Cats!

Yes , now we are leading with that TD.

Jelani has some nice wheels - those jet sweeps add another element to the offense and open things up a bit more. I’m glad he’s healthy and that McCall is utilizing him so well.

Very slow. Everyone is over here.

KO coverage “needs work.”

[phatcat_rivals223240]

KO coverage “needs work.”

I'll say

[beetlemania74]

KO coverage “needs work.”

And why can't the kicker send it through the end zone with the wind at his back? Uncharacteristically poor play by the kickoff team.

[scru]

I'll say

I'm not able to watch yet. What happened?

[Alvious]

Amazing grab by Skowronek.

[Alan Smithee_rivals156293]

With how piss-poor our kick coverage has been, Otto had better start taking advantage of that stiff wind at his back and kick it out of the end zone.
