Seriously, what was shown on TV? Granted moot at this point since we got the TD but WTF??. It was also such a late call, thet were already lined up for XP.

As Lees went down the sideline, the Purdue defender ran by him on his way out of bounds. Gazziano gave a half hearted block attempt on the guy but kind of let up because he realized the guy was one step out of bounds. Ridiculous call.

If that were the case it would be a personal foul. They called unsportsmanlike.

I don't think its considered a personal foul when its a block, because the play is not dead if a tackler goes out of bounds. Its kind of like the defender who runs out of bounds on purpose to avoid a blocker. Its unsportsmanlike.

One thing I hate about watching on tv.... I can't tell if Thorson just doesn't know how to anticipate where his WRs will be or if our WRs are truly just not getting open. But they have had plenty of time to throw and Thorson is not delivering the ball. Anyone at the game have any insights?

On replay, their helmets never touch!

I simply don't understand targeting. Their helmets never touched. The receiver went down into his shoulder. I don't get it.

This is getting ridiculous. That was pretty much the only way he could even hit the guy given the dynamics of the play. They might as well outlaw the sport.

At the risk of sounding negative again, this is really a boring game. Our offense is just miserable. We should be blowing this weak Purdue team out.

Wouldn't have mattered if we had covered that big guy on the fake punt. It's like we knew it was coming but then let him run right by. Shouldn't have happened.

That is officially the worst targeting call I have ever seen. Their helmets DID NOT TOUCH and Hartage was doing everything he could to lead with the side of his body. Complete horse****. This is out of control.

If they overturn this call, I am hopping on a plane to Chicago, jumping in a cab to Evanston, sneaking into the stadium and personally chewing out this ref!!

Nice throw and catch followed by another 1st down - Purdue D has to be wearing down here in the last minute of the half.
