I love this game, but man, what a dud for both programs since NYD. This game was suppose to be another epic battle.

It's not just you, for sure. Hang in there, it may yet prove to be an epic battle to determine which team least wants the win.

Iowa still has more on the lines. I expect the Hawkeyes to win by a hefty margin behind Wadley and the run game again.

Unfortunately I have to agree. I said after the first game that I was more concerned with our Defense than our Offense. I know that flies in the face of logic to most on this board, but we can't stop anyone when it matters. Iowa new WR's will get an easy entrance into action by being able to catch the quick 5 harder on first down with little resistance. PLEASE play tighter against the inexperience!

Seems like Iowa fans are in total meltdown after the last 2 games. Might be a battle of wills as the loser will go further South.

Yeah, hate to say it but I think Iowa probably wins this one rather easily. I think the downfall of Iowa is a little exaggerated. I will first say that a top 25 team should not lose to any FCS team, but NDSU is a good football team. They are probably better than about half of the teams that play in the FBS. It's not a "good" loss, but it's not nearly as bad as it seems. And NDSU came to play that day. By the last 20 minutes of the game, they were really controlling the lines...I actually would be more concerned as an Iowa fan about the Rutgers game. Rutgers is terrible. Like really terrible so to win only by a TD feels like a loss. But looking closer at that game, Iowa had their opportunities, but had some badly times penalties and a few questionable coaching decisions. I wouldn't count on that tomorrow. If the Cats are going to have any chance, we have to be better on the d-line and our LB's are really going to have to play disciplined since we know Kirk loves to use the play-action. I'm in no way glad that Vandenberg is injured (would never root for an injury), but his loss does help the Cats a lot with the injuries we have all over our secondary. And our o-line has to be a lot better, but I just don't see it against a pretty solid Iowa d-line.

I am the last person that is going to be an Iowa apologist. Living in Des Moines, I have enough dislike for the Hawkeyes :), but I think they are still a pretty solid football team and I still think they have a chance to win the West since their three toughest games (Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nebraska) are all at home.

Hope I'm wrong though. Go Cats!

Agreed. I will add that the Rutgers game was especially concerning since Rutgers lost their best offensive player (by a WIDE margin) early in the game, and also lost their best defensive lineman. When Grant was hurt and Iowa took the lead, I actually turned off the game, thinking Iowa would absolutely boatrace them the rest of the way. Was stunned to find out they needed a late touchdown to win. If that happens this week, I believe we win, but Iowa seems too talented to me to pull such a rock two weeks in a row
