Do Vitale and Lowry have another chance to move the needle with the scouts, or are the results from the Combine all that will stick?

My guess is they stick with the combine numbers. Those two will likely only run drills.

Do we have any info on the Pro Day? who took part, etc. It sounds like Nick VanHoose didn't participate, I'm guessing he's not fully recovered yet. Found this tweet about Miles Shuler: "Northwestern WR Miles Shuler with 126.0 inches on his broad jump at Pro Day. Would tie for 9th among WRs at the Combine with Will Fuller." Miles apparently ran a 4.40.

EDIT: Patriots sent director of player personnel Nick Caserio to attend the Pro Day. Vitale apparently had another good day.

From Vitale's Instagram, with Lowry and Henry, at Pro Day:

Deonte measured in at only 6'1". Our roster listed him at 6'3". Gonna be an uphill climb to get a camp invite.

His best fit will be with a team that projects him as a 3-4 OLB. He just needs to show he can drop and play in space.

Can't believe Budzien didn't run. How can anyone evaluate his kick coverage potential?

He was an edge setter in a 4-3 who flashed some pass rush occasionally. I don't know how he makes that type of transition.

DanVitale is starting to look like the "Hulk!" His body is insane!!! I'm starting to see him 4 through 6 now. Shuler might get FA invite but his inability to catch the deep ball is an enormous problem. It's funny because on the short stuff he actually has GOOD hands. Sometimes fast guys struggle with long balls because their eyes bounce around too much on over the shoulder catches.

His 40 times and size are consistent with those of a 3-4 OLB. Just because he played DE for us does not mean he can't play elsewhere. I would need to see what he looks like playing in space in order to have a more definitive opinion. Have you seen him play in space? If not, I am not sure how you can be so sure he can't make that transition.

I have seen him play at NU. He might be able to do that job, but there is no shortage of WIL prospects coming out of college who actually played LB in college. Maybe he can move laterally and play off a blocker, but let's be honest about his chances.

No one said he will be lining up opposite Demarcus Ware next season. If he shows enough agility in space, he is the type of player that an NFL team will put on the practice squad and try to develop. None of us can say that's not a possibility without having seen him run through some of the drills.

That's part of the problem. He pulled his hammy running the 40, so he had to skip all the agility stuff.
