Mitchell confirmed that "he has applied for a buyout under the voluntary staff reduction plan offered" by the Tribune.

Seems like a nice guy, but let's hope he's out of there by the time basketball season kicks off.

I don't think they're going to fill the vacated spots.

And just because Fred applied doesn't mean he'll get it. I hope for him that he does.
