the House won't be able to certify the election and .......then things really go kaput....without the cert., then Trump might not be sworn into office on the 20th.

Johnson needs to go, strategically, this is a great move. We will get a more MAGA type running the show as the establishment types will be terrified of not getting the President confirmed. Their careers would be done immediately.

I appreciate your sentiment but Johnson has a narrow margin and deals with ******** in his own party. Need to get stuff passed immediately and we don't need a ight that lasts for a month, which it will. Wise up

I’m for anyone that eliminate all of the unnecessary spending on congressional money laundering programs. And that’s not Mike Johnson.

You have to govern and a lot of Repubs seem to forget that the average voter doesn't care about some of the issues other than get it done. We need to get Trump certified, pass real legislation that can pass the senate and get it to the President. A 80% loaf of bread is better than nothing for over a month.

And throw the house into chaos again for a month or more. Need to get cabinet appts confirmed, legislation done
House doesn’t handle confirmations.

Legislation will be **** if we don’t get someone in the house to set the rules straight.

That's correct about confirmations. We nrrd to get things started. If it takes another month to get speaker, it will if Johnson is ousted cause he has friends too. Republicans would rather divide each other, by a guy that's no longer in the house who started it last time, than govern. Pitch your ***** fit behind closed doors. Governing isn't easy. Pelosi kept her caucus in line and got **** passed. We'd rather sit around for four weeks proving we can.

Ummm Johnson was with Trump at the Army Navy game …. So Johnson must have the support of the head MAGA dude and that’s good enough for me

We will see how long he has the support of the main guy. If Trumps agenda is hindered by the house Johnson will be gone

********. Put someone in leadership and have the whip be clear that there is a set of legislation you will support or you will be primaries and then let everyone know if they stay in line their pet projects for their constituents will be strongly considered.

This is why republicans can't govern. Get to work day one of getting what you want done. Primaries means u have an enemy for two years going forward and with no margin of error, you get **** done.

I think the commonsense Republicans are finally getting tired of the childish and anti-MAGA Chip Roy faction.... Enough of the slash and burn politics fueled by people who can't see the forest for the trees.

There is nothing stopping any of them from getting stuff done except for leadership. This is why you tell them to get in line for the things the leadership says and the rest of your stuff has a fair shot.

The left does this. The GOP only cares about how much money you raise for the party. It is stupid.

Anyone would be better than Nancy Pelosi or Hakeem Sekou Jeffries. The Republicans probably shouldn't waste too much time figuring it out though.
