Well, I get that we're socially and fiscally liberal now. We are going to secure the border, right? That's about the only hope I have left of something decent happening in the next 4 years.
Oh no. They might shut the Government down over Christmas until the 1st of the year when the majority of Federal Employees are on Christmas "Exodus" Paid Vacation.

Actually, Chip Roy is doing a good job of killing Trump's agenda......he went to the floor and railed against some of the things Trump asked for. So which camp are you in? Camp Trump or Camp Roy? Where do your loyalties lie?
Got to respect them for standing on principle. The Democrats won't help get anything done because they would rather play politics.
Neither are wrong and both want the same thing in the end. They will eventually have to compromise. That's how it should work.

Not the Democrats that's for sure. The majority of them do what Hakeem Jefferies tells them to do. Sad to watch.
His plan is to not vote for spending increases without either revenue streams or other spending decreases.
I said they will need to compromise and eventually they will as the Majority of Democrats continue to do what Hakeem tells them do. It's not as big of a deal as you want to make it. The Republican Party is now a Party of multiple backgrounds so there's going to be strong debates and even some fights. Democrats will take advantage of that to sow division. Because that's who they are.
Does it spend it on the same things because that's got to be part of the negotiations.
I know and that's why I don't have a problem with what Roy is doing. He just needs to realize that Biden is still President and the Democrats still control the Senate. So push it until you can get the best deal then get onboard until the New Congress and Trump are sworn in. Then keep doing what he's doing now.
The Dems will take advantage of this, because it's the smart thing for them to do. In the end, this is going to be more costly, than if they just passed the original bill as planned.
Smart thing? They better hope you are not involved in getting them elected. Because them being them is why you got Trump with a Republican Congress and Senate.

I support getting past the current Administration after it's investigated and those involved are held accountable. The American People deserve better. Musk will work for Trump. Biden was a puppet for those not elected.

The people of Texas will decide his future. He's not entirely wrong about this but needs to understand that the American People want results and he needs to be careful not to give the Democrats a win by being unreasonable too. Trump hasn't even been sworn in and somebody will have to wake Biden to sign it anyways. He should be rested enough to accomplish that since he's done nothing to resolve the problem.
