It's only controversial to anti-Americans, both the foreign and domestic enemies of the country. If the military were to honor their oaths, the domestic ones would have long been removed.
Only if America could let the rest of the world run on its own, would be a dream but not a realistic one if you care about our way of life. Simple slogan designed for simple people so you can feel more patriotic (and true) than whom ever they don’t like. Sad!
Politicians launder money through campaign contributions. I suggest you do some historical research on America First & Charles Lindbergh and then come back here and try to defend it.
Nothing surprises me anymore. Just know there’s no such thing as America or American first when it comes to the current political landscape. Americans struggling to pay bills and put food on the table, but our taxes go to Ukraine. Every US citizen should be outraged.
No. Politicians also launder money through campaign contributions. Foreign aid, which is not subject to the FOIA, is the other major pipeline. Look how many politicians and high level government employees have family members associated with overseas companies that get funneled a ton of US foreign aid while they get paid ridiculous salaries for little to no work.
Their brazenness about it is most amazing. They went after the whistleblower and ignored the real crime costing us billions.
It’s not for simple people. The left attempts to paint it as a simple construct and apply it to what they perceive as simple people.
We should prioritize our needs above the rest of the world. That doesn’t mean we don’t also assist the rest of the world, but it should be to the country’s benefit.
Starting with the Obama administration, there was a push towards a greater hegemonic world at the expense of our own nation’s citizens, their needs, and their security. That’s a fact and was openly discussed by policy wonks within the Obama administration.
America First is a reversal of that doctrine to what used to be pushed as a lifting up others for our benefit. Give the Lindbergh Nazi connection a break. Trump was the worst Nazi in the history of Nazis.

You are 100% correct. However, there are not enough pissed off Americans to fix it. We will go into November and Biden will win and we will complain about it. While the rest of America plays on their cell phones screaming for their favorite sports teams. We deserve what we get
Foreign aid is the biggest laundromat going that's why all in DC are eagerly generous with it . Campaign contributions is the first step to keep people paid even if they lose then they call it a ghost Campaign.
Congress can fix MLB and will most certainly get involved in college sports and people will act like they should..... all will pay attention to every word , to every syllable....it's sports... let them talk about the budget or anything that matters....
