Hate seeing any player get hurt! That was physical game. Sled, have you noticed many of today’s players have zero knee protection? Actually, some are playing in short pants! It’s crazy!

a knee injury ended my football "career"....but back then the only "pads" we had were hard cardboard inserts...you're probably too young to remember that.....and the helmets didn't have face shields

I realize knee pads don’t provide much protection. But good Lord! I would think they’re better than nothing! Yes, I do remember the knee-pad inserts. No face masks on the helmets is a little bit before my time. Not much.
