Just a few bad ones

Nobody should doubt there are some bad ones. The overwhelming majority are not like that. I agree the lack of training is poor a lot of places and that leads more to officers not understanding the rights of citizens but in most of those cases it is harmless.
This is one of the worst ones, but similar stories are not uncommon.

They don't write stories about the thousands of good ones.
If your argument is there are more good ones than bad ones, I agree. If your argument is the bad ones are a tiny fraction, I disagree. If your argument is policing in America does not need massive reform, then I likewise disagree.

I am sure I know more about the topic than you do in this instance. It's OK if you disagree but you are wrong.

Tiny fraction is subjective. It is less than 10%.

Massive overhaul? No

Need a shitload more money for training? Yes.

Making bold statements with hubris doesn’t make you right.
No. Having a ton of experience and not being afraid to say the truth sure helps.

Oh. And you commenting on hubris is funny.

Then maybe you don’t know as much as you think you do.
Sorry riddler for not understanding whatever nonsense you are trying to pass off as discussion. If I don't know much about a topic I will be the first to admit it but I do know what I am talking about here and you are just wrong.

You’re welcome to believe what you’d like. If you’re interested read up on Dr. Philip Stinson’s research. He’s a former police officer.

I'd be happy to even be able to understand whatever it was you were trying to say.

I don't give a single **** about Dr whoever or his research. I will go with my experience and with the literal hundreds of cops I know and speak with. They tell the truth, good bad or indifferent and their research is on the job for thousands of hours.

I tell you what's needed, incarceration of these criminals. They can't continually commit crimes of they are in the pokey.

Very bad. How many police officers are being ambushed by blacks now? You are much .it's likely if you are a black to be murdered by another black than shot by a white police officer. I'd hate to be a white police officer now, dealing with all the criminals out there now who, when arrested, are let out with no repercussions.
This has seriously hurt the police staffs across the country. Good cops won't put up with that nonsense. They will take a security job somewhere and avoid getting killed for a justice system that refuses to publish criminals.

So basically you’re saying you’ve chugged the “police are racist” koolaid. I agree the police need massive reform, but not how you envision it. We need to let them do their damn job. Sure, weed out the bad ones, but if you think their job is easy, you’re a damn fool. You couldn’t pay me any amount of money to be a cop today as a white man.

It's not easy for the black men either. Basically if you mess up you are screwed. If you do your job exactly right you are screwed.
