A few years ago, I had both the valedictorian and salutatorian of the same inner city public high school in a freshman class. Both were great young women—smart, high character, hard working. They didn’t know anything. They had zero knowledge of American or world history. They didn’t know basic rules of English grammar. They didn’t know how to write papers. They seem to know a lot about feminist theory. The valedictorian became so demoralized she left after her freshman year. The salutatorian stuck with it and eventually became a solid student.

The state of our education system is such a shame . The curve is alive and well .....A few years ago, I had both the valedictorian and salutatorian of the same inner city public high school in a freshman class. Smart as in highly apt to learn.I wouldn't call them smart if they didn't know anything.
The Dept. of Ed. and the America Federation of Teachers are big problems, but it’s more the local school boards and individual schools which determine the quality of the education. The state of our education system is such a shame . The curve is alive and well .....
I listened to her confirmation hearings. Least impressive nominee I’ve seen.she was an AA hire...
she might be as stupid as Kagan...
She don't know what a woman is ...I listened to her confirmation hearings. Least impressive nominee I’ve seen.
Her and Sotomayor are garbage. I think ACB is arguably the most polished and knowledgeable of the hearings I’ve watched.I listened to her confirmation hearings. Least impressive nominee I’ve seen.
Of all the hearings I’ve seen, the most impressive was Scalia. Her and Sotomayor are garbage. I think ACB is arguably the most polished and knowledgeable of the hearings I’ve watched.
I was too young for his confirmation to pay attention.Of all the hearings I’ve seen, the most impressive was Scalia.
When I was a kid we had three channels: ABC, PBS, and a very fuzzy CBS. About the only time the TV was on was for sporting events, Space Shuttle launches and reentries. Only the local and national news were on daily. So if I wanted to watch TV I had to watch the news. I knew all the cabinet members from 3rd grade on. So I’ve was raised to be a politics junkie.I was too young for his confirmation to pay attention.
