I tried to get her a 9 that she would like so I didn't need to many types of ammo..... she won't part with it .
Both my wife and I are range nuts. Both carry all day. She has two identical Bersa 380s that are a great size and weight. She also occasionally carries a SW 9mm or her old charter arms 38 . special. She is very proficient.
I bought my wife one of these recently. She carried a Sig Sauer 938 previously. Check it out the next time you're in a gun store.
Usually purchase now online from Buds or on Gunbroker. Use a local FFL.
That Walther might be of interest to her. The shorter trigger reach would be appealing. She has small hands and has to choose her firearms according. Her shotguns and long guns are youth sized for that reason. Thanks for the tip.
The Walther PDP F was designed for women's hands. Just try it out obviously before buying is always my advice.

Good for her. We belong to a private shooting club which allows us to run through defensive handgun drills.

I did a 6 week conceal weapons training course in Petersburg VA. I learned so much , well worth the money.
I agree. We are constantly training even at our age. So many facets to improve on. I find it hard to understand why so many folks resist training.

As I have aged the little things affect me...aching in hands, bifocals, sense of balance, focus etc. I used to compensate for any poor technique or concentration by "muscling " things. Now those days are gone. All the flaws show. But there is nothing like range time in sunny Florids...in a swamp lol.
Bifocals suck Azz....
I can't see sites like I did . Now I'm looking for reasonable priced optics for all my guns . I've always shot open sites and have been fairly proficient. Now this age thing has me carrying a pistol with a red dot ....
Lol. Rite of passage. I countered by working on natural point of aim, point shooting and double tap speed. Actually that is more reality.
The trainer in VA taught us that and it is reality shooting in a crisis. More or less to aim with our nose and fingers. Said we wasn't John Wayne and don't try to be
Introduced two daughters and son, two grand daughters, and a grandson to shooting and now all are hooked too. Growing the NRA.
My son has been shooting with me since he was young, like 4 or 5 . Bought him a red Ryder bb gun and the fun and training started . My daughter didn't start till she was about 16 and then I had to make her learn how to load and shoot at least the minimum . Now she has 2 kids and thanks me for teaching her and has taken a couple classes in concealed weapons defense.
