If he is running for president he can't ignore 134 million potential voters.
He doesn't have to, there are literally dozens of other outlets he can find his voters on. They're not all only on Twitter.

Why would he not use all of them? That is just a stubborn mistake.

He should be active on all of those forums.

None of them come close to the reach of twitter though.
Understood...but on any given day, the Conservative talk radio audiences in most major cities dwarfs anything the networks approach on a weekly basis! NBC may have a larger audience than say Mark Levin...but Mark Levin and scores of other conservative talkers in both network syndication and at local radio stations dwarf NBC's biggest audiences. That's just talk radio...we're not even including podcasts!

My point is he doesn't have to rely on Twitter. He really doesn't even need it. He can use it, but it's not like he wouldn't be heard if he's not on there.

It's kinda like recruiting. You pick your areas where your best chances of success are or where you've traditionally been successful. WVU could spend all of its time in Florida, or Texas, or even Georgia...and we've had success in those States. However we still don't ignore our traditional recruiting areas like Ohio, Western PA, NJ, Virginia, & MD. We could go all over the country, but we pick areas where we've had success, and stand the best chance of landing the kids we target.

Trump could hang out on Twitter and obviously reach a wider audience, but he's got eager and willing listeners on those alternative media platforms where collectively over time he reaches just as vast an audience as is available on Twitter. If Twitter stops its ridiculous censorship of conservative voices then of course he can mark valuable time on there. However while he was banned from them and other outlets by Left leaning big Tech companies, a whole new cache of alternative sources sprung up and carried his message. Now they stand as viable alternatives to Twitter and that's a good thing! Same with the biased algorithms on the Google search engine. Enter competitors like Duck-Duck-Go, Dissenter, Ekoru, Ecosia, Search Encrpyt, Startpage, Qwant, One Search and dozens of others! Google is still the biggest, but you don't have to rely only on their biased results!

Competition is beautiful thing, and I'm glad we have alternatives to the big social media giants because they can't and don't control the narratives anymore! As it should be.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is calling for companies to “immediately pause all advertising” on Twitter in response to former President Donald Trump being reinstated.

Musk polled users and had over 15,000,000 votes before deciding to reinstate Trump.

--- did the NAACP get 'Kanye'd' ? ---

The NAACP is just a front for the Democrat party and Leftists. Who cares what they say? They have zero credibility when they can't even congratulate John James and instead pimp Ilhan Omar!

Ignore them.

Look at all the other platforms on Social media Trump has available to reach a potential audience:

  • Truth Social
  • Gettr
  • Diaspora
  • Mastadon
  • Tumblr
  • Gab
  • Counter.social
  • Minds
  • Pixelfed
  • Frendecia
  • Steemit
  • GNU Social
  • Known
  • Hubzilla
There is also Rumble, Rightside, Banned video, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, Utreon, Open video project, Twitch, Peer Tube, 9Gag, Instagram, Dtube, and a host of other smaller outlets and podcasts too numerous to mention. Twitter is not the blogosphere, and not all of Trump's potential voters even bother to go there anymore because of their history of censorship. If Musk cleans that up fine...meantime Trump voters and bloggers have found other viable alternatives he can reach them quite well through.

And all those other platforms that most people don't use or have no knowledge of.

I thought I heard today on the Salem radio news network where Trump is quoted as saying he'll just stay on his platform Truth Social and rely on its growing reach instead of trying to rebuild his following on Twitter. I think that's smart...Twitter is nothing but a repository of Left wing bilge...it will take lots of purging to clean it out.

It's not smart. Guarantee he will be back on it as they get closer to game time. If not you don't reach as many potential voters.

Well we'll see? He's got an open forum on Truth Social. While Twitter claims it's removing its censoring bots, who knows? There still are a lot of Lefties on it who will do nothing but bash everything he says, maybe even trying to drown him out? Who cares? He can get his message out now on so many other platforms, Twitter is probably an afterthought for him reaching the folks he really wants to reach?

Not sure why you don't understand that only reaching people who agree with you isn't a winning strategy.

You only win with the folks who ultimately agree with you correct? Do you think the intransigent Leftists on this forum are ever persuaded by anything you or I say? I agree you try to reach out to all, but ultimately you only care about the folks who end up agreeing with you!

I prefer reading you than some of the mind numb Leftists who post on this forum. Most of them are a waste of time.

You influence others to join you. That means you may have to enter the lions den. You do so knowing you can't win them all.

True ...but as Jesus himself once said...you state you piece, then dust off your feet and move on away from fools!

"Take nothing for your journey," [Jesus instructed the disciples]. "Don't take a walking stick, a traveler's bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes. Wherever you go, stay in the same house until you leave town. And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate."
Luke 9:3-5 NLT

Hey @Gunny46 I've been meaning to ask you, what are your thoughts on us buying out Neal Brown's contract and paying him 16 million not to coach for us anymore? I've been catching Hell over on BL arguing we should just let him finish out his contract, save that buyout $$$$, and try to get him some top flight assistants for the O-line and a D-coordinator to help him get this thing turned around!

Man have they been skewering me for that sacrilege! Everybody wants to fire him but we don't know if the guy we hire would produce any better results for us because we don't have a candidate in mind. Meantime we'd have to pay off HCNB, plus hire a whole new staff, start all over, and pay them too!

That's what I've argued against...it's too damn expensive, and while Brown has struggled here, who's to say a couple of better assistant coaches couldn't help him turn things around for us?

What's your take on it?

I supported him because he was our coach. He has had four years and hasn't got it done. The buyout was just dumb business. He hadn't accomplished anything to get one that large. I think he will be fired after the season but I guess we will see.

I don't think hiring Richard back is a good idea. So hopefully that isn't seriously being considered.

Honestly I don't know if we will ever be able to compete in today's NIL and transfer portal rules. Hope that's doesn't end up being the case.

A lot of them? :joy:

Have fun with that.
Yeah I agree bringing Rich Rod back maybe isn't the smartest move for a fan base that's already pissed off about the NB hire. I'm not sure what we do, except if we fire him make damn sure his replacement is a proven winner and a known commodity. However, can we afford someone like that?

What a cluster!

Until NIL and the Transfer Portal is adjusted not sure it matters who we hire.

Basketball can take advantage of it. Handful of players.

Football I just don’t see it.

If it were spending money I would agree about targeting audiences but twitter is basically free.

Wonder what problem the NAACP has with Trump? Trump did more to advance people of color than they did.

They are ran by far left Marxist that care more about pushing that agenda nowadays than advancing causes that could actually help blacks. Does anyone see them coming to the aid of black Republicans or Libertarians? Same thing with some Jewish groups. Support Republicans and you're a Nazi.

Looking forward to when Trump starts posting on Twitter again.
I'm just not feeling it. He lost the election and then he got caught trying to cheat the system. All his insurrectionists are in jail and now his campaign relaunch is fizzing. Even his daughter wants no part of it. Now he's about to be indicted. Just not as fun anymore.

You voted for Biden. Nobody should care what you think. Matter of fact you should stay home on 2024 election day. You have done enough damage for now.
