During his defamation lawsuit trial. He is being sued by the parents of the Sandy Hook victims for $150 million in damages after Jones claimed the shooting was a false flag and that the families of those children who were killed were "crisis actors."

Jones had claimed that he had never texted about the 2012 Sandy Hook trial only for it to be revealed that the plaintiffs attorney had several years worth of Jones's cell phone records showing that he indeed had sent text messages about the Sandy Hook shooting. the plaintiff attorney shows Jones a text message exchange he had about the Sandy Hook shooting and of course he claimed to have no knowledge of that text exchange that was on his phone.

Jones still has 3 more defamation trials to go and probably a perjury charge added to the list. This guy just can't stop lying and the sad part is people actually believe everything this right wing Qanon conspiracist says.

I had a friend I met at a gym named James. James, clearly possessing a genius IQ, went through seminary (a liberal one) and gained a love of philosophy, over which we connected. By the time James left seminary he was an atheist. We had some great discussions. James was heavily influenced by Sartes and Kristina philosophies of language.

One day my wife and I were walking out of a Chili’s and we met James who was also exiting. I hadn’t seen him in awhile. James had this 1,000 yard stare and started telling me how the FBI and CIA are spying on Americans in our homes. They were watching us through our TVs and listening to us through our refrigerators and microwaves. I whispered to my wife to get in the car and lock the doors while I stood in the middle of the lot talking with James. He proceeds to tell me I need to start listening to Alex Jones to learn about this and to protect myself from government intrusion.

So, my question is this: Are mentally I’ll people drawn to Alex Jones, or is it that listening to Jones makes you mentally ill? Maybe both?

Jones is just a typical bifftard, full of wild conspiracies that are wrong.

Watching the left celebrate show trials against political opponents.

No way this comes back to haunt them.

That’s all they have. A distraction from what they actually voted for. They are the reason this country is ****

Conspiracy folks tend to be drawn to similar things. It's odd because where you find one theorist you will find many and each will focus on different conspiracies.

A lot of them were drawn to qanon. Those discussion were always interesting with an q drop there would be 20 theorist and about 16 different theories.

The best part is they do it and call their opposition fascists.

The irony is lost on them.

Well, anything using RF or connected can be listened to. If you have any smart system, you’re being dropped in on and while the collection doesn’t have to be active, passive collection can be just as effective to expand broader analysis and used as justification for more active surveillance.

Zuckerberg covers up his laptop cameras and has for a decade. I do the same, yet I have Alexa and smart tv's all over my house. Yes, I do think the government is passively collecting everything it can. No, I haven't gone Alex Jones overboard with it yet.

James was saying they were using the screen and making it into a camera. Also, he was clearly having a mental breakdown.

I have said numerous times I think Alex Jones is fraud out to make money. His 911 and Sandy Hook conspiracy theories are nonsense. However the MSM plays the same game and just like them he uses a pysyops technique where some of his conspiracy theories have some truth to them. Then you add spin to push people to a desired narrative. CNN had to pay Sandman. Alot of us believed that was justified. After admitting he was wrong about Sandy Hook it's looking like he will have to do the same.

As far as surveillance capabilities DD is correct. The capabilities actually extend way beyond what technology gurus on here know about. So that's not a conspiracy theroy. The abuse of it has been posted on here by several and it goes back for years.

I imagine they could if they chose to. I make it a point to flash a nude at the TV every so often to punish whoever just in case.

The problem is the damages. What are the losses suffered by the Plaintiffs in the defamation case against Jones? Not to mention I find it hard to believe people believed the shooting didn't exist because of his comments. I have never come across a single person who thinks the SH shooting didn't occur. I don't know how the families' reputations were harmed.

Not all defamatory statements are actionable.

I would guess they are hoping the court puts a value on psychological damage.

Guess we will see what the jury decides. Like all shootings the left didn't let a tragedy go to waste. Jones should have concentrated on that instead of going full retard. However I view him no different than the rest of the MSM that uses propaganda. So no doubt it's a political witch hunt. If people want to watch him that's their business. I just think he's a conartist using distrust in the Government to make a living. Unfortunately our politicians and government agencies actions many times aid in his ability to do so.

If I really wanted to do something about it, I'd cut off internet to my house.

I'd be kicked out of my own home, so that's not happening anytime soon.

Government? How about the private sector like tech companies who want to learn your habits and interests so they develop products for you.

Conspiracy theory addiction is a form of paranoia. Those affected by it are drawn to Jones, Qanon, etc.

And they’re working directly with the IC on the metadata analysis.
