WV State & WV Tech has only played twice in the last 9 years. Not much of a rivalry since the WVIAC days, sad to say. I did hear that Tech may bring back football.

Tech is NAIA now. State is D2. I don't know if they play in any sport. I never followed Tech sports much. When I went there I was friends with a couple football players but that was about it.

I'm guessing you're more of a Herd fan than most on this forum, since you grew up only 30 minutes from the stadium. I know you're more of a Herd fan than I am. Based on you now developing a herd-on with any and everything Marshall related, I use the Herd to mock you, and the Michigan Wolverines to make you look like a fish-eyed fool each and every time you attempt to talk smack.
My advice to you and many of your ilk:

I think one of the stars of the old WVIAC played for the Lakers for several seasons. Morris Harvey had a kid in mid 90's that could flat light it up as well.
Sedale Threat from Tech played for the Lakers several years. I had a lot of professors who had him for classes at Tech. What he lacked in knowledge and intelligence he made up for in enthusiasm and promptness.

Gary Stills living in the Marshall backfield all afternoon chasing Pennington down was a key in the interceptions in the second half. That is why I think Randy Moss didn’t have as big a day vs WVU. If Pennington had time in the pocket, Marshall would of could of pulled away.

Stills caused the interception that change the fate of the game, to be sure we couldn't get him blocked all day but still manage to score enough points to win. Wish we would have just busted a draw play up in there rather than attempting to pass on a 3rd and 10 with 12 minutes to play knowing Stills get after Chad like dog on T-bone steak! But I guess hindsight is 100%.
