If you know any of these kids who have been groomed as kids or teenagers and how they react to their parents and family none of these tragedies would surprise anyone. It's sick really and unfortunately it hits close to home.told you it's a democrat issue...

Nearly $60 Billion in aid has been sent to Ukraine to protect foreigners and yet our politicians still haven’t figured out a way to keep our schools safe.
We should be arming our schools to protect our children, not the borders of foreign nations to protect non U.S. citizens.

Even worse. The grooming of these kids targets their mentality toward their parents or other family. It is geared toward seeding distrust toward the people who love them the most which isolates these kids from the people who care most about them and leaves them to trust the very people who only wish to prey on their immaturity and underdeveloped emotional minds.
This. Our kids are being fed so much hate in school everyday , between CRT & anti God then throw in confusing kids at pre puberty levels about their sexuality..... what should we expect? Let's not forget social media. I cant imagine growing up having to compare myself to people on social media. A teen is so insecure & unsure about life .
But I'm sure our Democrats will blame guns .... & will never look at the problem.
I don't disagree about schools being bad in many cases. Social media is a bigger problem IMO. Parents generally pay attention to kids teachers and friends at school buy they don't know who their kids friends are on social media and these kids may think they are talking to some kid who looks just like them and all their friends but who in reality is a sick adult or some kind of jaded freak who only wants to sew discord.
After George Floyd, several school districts in Virginia opted to remove School Resource Officers. I imagine some will be reconsidering that decision.
And the entire blame for the anti police movement in America lies solely on the left. Entirely.

It has nothing to do with transgender or guns. Evil people have been killing people for centuries. Put some code locks on all the classrooms. Lock all outside doors, put a sally port in all schools, arm security in every school. Physical Security experts have been warning schools to do this for years. Yet we waste money on everything else except our most important valuable thing. Our children.

The military has a school called Physical Security. Tons of former experts could be put to work securing our schools. I volunteered my services to the Missouri school board when I was stationed there years ago. They made every excuse in the world not to take simple steps or even buy mechanical code locks. Today's technology has many electronic systems that can be controlled by a armed security specialist that locks down access throughout the school. If we are going to spend tax payers money spend it on that.
Google the technology I'm talking about. Start forcing the Department of Education in your area to implement it along with your local LEO.

But back to your point, I agree its unfortunate schools have to do that now, but its an unfortunate fact of life. I have no idea how that goofy kid got into the school w/ the police already there let alone the school should have been locked down as most are these days.
Just found out this morning my contractors son in law was a Border patrol agent that responded to this horrific attack.
He was one of the first to respond. They live in the town it happened.
Yes, Defund police was/is/will be a Democrat issue but this issue of school shootings is neither Dem or Rep. It is a fringe issue pushed by extreme individuals upon confused and often abused individuals. Unfortunately these doing the killings aren't pointed out until after their horrific event is performed..... Now back to the Dems, They merely use these extreme events to push their gun control movement upon a grieving nation. They still don't realize that Guns don't kill people, people kill people while using guns.....
Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of this and make the needed safeguards. If schools need to be like gated, secured residential areas, so be it. I mean, we can take fairly clear satellite photos, that means we have the technology to address this....
One entrance with bullet proof glass in the doors. What a place our country has become. Kids dad was never present, mother was off somewhere doing drugs and he was raised by his grandparents. Common denominator in all these shootings are fatherless children. That's what govt handouts has really caused, a deterioration of the family.
There's more simple technology available. The military uses it as well as civilian companies. Buildings that store computer servers are harder to access. You have to have a card like at hotels you use to access every room. All doors are locked without it. The security guard in the control room can lock down the whole building at anytime. Some schools already have this technology. It can't stop every incident however it would go a long ways in saving lives until more police show up. All police departments should have multiple officers at the schools at opening and dismissal. If your department is to small for that find some Veterans in your community and make them reserve deputies to be there during those hours and large events.
History books say it's always been like this. Before guns it was swords. Foreign enemies sow discourse and hatred in our country everyday. Can't promise it will get any better so in the meantime do what we have to do to make schools more safe.
