Starlink will help out a lot. It is cost prohibitive right now but a guy here at the office lives in asscrack Mason County where the is zero wifi and they were basically using cell phone hot spots to get a connection and they installed a starlink and it has changed everything for them. His wife has several online businesses and a tik tok channel with 6 figure followers regarding her horses. Having a reliable connect changed their world.

We've got a client on Starlink and a few others on the waiting list. Speeds can fluctuate, but on average he's getting 70Mbps on his system and it's allowed him to do much more with streaming content.
What'd I'd like to see with WV is Fiber pulled throughout the state, and utilize existing power line runs to accomplish much of it. If we could get Gigabit speeds in the boondocks, we'll see even more movement back into the state.
It would be great but fiber on overhead lines is a bitches ***** for future work. It is expensive to install and when we do road improvement jobs fiber is sometimes a project killer because moving it and splicing it is so damn expensive. Still, it is necessary.
