No big fan of Mooney, but that feckless RINO swamp rat McKinley needed to go. One of the most arrogant, self serving politicians I have every met. Trump seems to be batting 100 on his endorsements.

Now, if we could only get rid of that low IQ RINO Shelly Moore Caputo.

McKinley is an *******. Forget his politics. He is an ashole who got what he deserved.

Both of you couldn't be more wrong.

Mooney is an absent Congressman and has done NOTHING for the district. McKinley at least understood what it takes to get things done for the district and would have served us much better than Mooney. Not to mention the investigation into Mooney could very well lead to charges and him not being able to serve to begin with.

McKinley wasn't a good candidate, may be an *******, but he was definitely the better choice for the seat than that asshat carpetbagger.

Mooney and McKinley are essentially the same candidate. I don't know much at all about Mooney but I know McKinley and I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

Mooney's worthless. Dude never shows his face around the district. Did meet his mother a few years back when he sent her to a fundraiser in his place (she's a wonderfully nice woman), but he's been MIA from day one. Can't think of a single event in the EP that he's attended in person. I suspected he was trouble when some friends in Maryland talked about him before he first ran, but never thought he'd be as feckless as they come. Hell, next week I'll be going into DC for the yearly "Fly-in" with the CAWV, where we meet with our Congressman and Senators, and once again he's the lone no show. Word is the investigation into him could be serious trouble for him. Falsifying records, witness tampering, etc.

Only met McKinley a few times at association functions, and have worked with his company a few times on building projects, but I can't say I have dealt with him any directly. I do know though that a vast number in our association preferred him over Mooney.

Losing that seat really stings, and knowing we're stuck with under-representation for the another 2 years is frustrating as hell.

If I didn't know McKinley I would probably support him since he has had an engineering company for many years. A good friend of mine ran his initial campaign and worked hard for him to turn the seat red. He worked a year or more on his staff after his election but quit because he was just an insufferable cock. Said he talked **** about his constituents and was always mad because he had to represent his voters and it made him personal non grata in DC.

Sometimes takes years to install good politics..... if you arent a crook going into politics you soon will be...and yes all politicians should have term limits..

Barry Wendell won the dem nomination for this race. Barry was on the Morgantown City Council the last few years. I doubt he will win Mon County in the fall let along the district. Wait until you get a load of this clown. Dude is dumber than a rock.

Yeah, unless the Libertarian's have someone that can fund raise like a beast, Mooney will win hands down. He spent massive amounts of money in this primary. My guess is he's solely biding his time until Joe retires so he can run for that Senate seat.

I'm hopeful in the meantime the result of the investigation leads to him having to step down.

The problem with Mooney is Wendell is a bigger moron than McKinley is an *******. Not great options.

Probably actually had an engineering degree too.
