Good God...she looks rode hard and put away wet.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: And then they went much further than that and they got caught. And you will see that, Lesley and you know that, but you just don't want to put it on the air.

LESLEY STAHL: No, as a matter of fact, I don't know that.

"No, as a matter of fact, we can’t verify that." This is CBS News. We don't air things we can't verify.
Really, Lesley Stahl? Is that true?
We still remember a CBS News piece from 2016 that claimed Donald Trump was secretly working with Vladimir Putin.
So, the question is, how did CBS News verify those facts? Walk us through your reporting process.

Quit making stuff up, K?
On Oct. 31, 2016, Jake Sullivan, then senior policy adviser for Democrat Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, issued a press statement citing a Slate report purporting to show that the Trump Organization had a secret server registered to Trump Tower that was covertly communicating with Russia.
“This could be the most direct link yet between Donald Trump and Moscow,” Mr. Sullivan, who is now President Biden’s national security adviser, warned ominously. “This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia. … This line of communication may help explain Trump’s bizarre adoration of Vladimir Putin and endorsement of so many pro-Kremlin positions throughout this campaign.”
“We can only assume that federal authorities will now explore this direct connection between Trump and Russia as part of their existing probe into Russia’s meddling in our election,” Mr. Sullivan concluded.

Jake Sullivan takes Slate.com very seriously. At the time, Jake Sullivan was working for the Hillary Clinton campaign. He cited the Slate story as evidence that Trump was indeed colluding with Vladimir Putin.
"The secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump's ties to Russia," Sullivan said.

Jake Sullivan stuck to that line for months.
Here he is on CNN in March of 2017.

JAKE SULLIVAN: What we learned during the campaign was that very serious computer science experts, people who work closely with the United States government had uncovered this secret hotline between the Alfa Bank, the Russian bank and the Trump Organization. And we knew that given how serious these computer scientists were, they weren't just making up crackpot theories. So, it wasn't surprising to learn that even as of last week, the FBI is still looking into this.

ANCHOR: Do you have any idea what they're what they're looking for?

JAKE SULLIVAN: I don't have a line into the FBI on this, but what I know, based on public reporting, is that there is a very unusual server activity between this Russian bank and the Trump Organization that took place over the course of the campaign.

We now know from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, as well as Special Counsel John Durham’s ongoing investigation, that the entire Trump-Russia-server narrative was a scam originating from fake opposition research created by the Clinton campaign and disseminated to reporters without any hard evidence to back it up.

Where is the Slate report? The stuff you just posted are political statements from a campaign full of 'may', 'could' and 'assume'. What does "secretly working" mean? Those two spoke a lot before and during the Trump presidency. Where is the 60 Minutes piece you're referring to?

The irony is that wrinkly Kvnt reported Russia collusion what had no proof but rejected this which was a fact

Well, there you have it. The New York Times journalist knows more than the Prosecuting Attorney lol. Thanks for clearing that up.
He only believes unnamed sources. If Hillary admits paying to have Trump spied on he would say she was mistaken

Now let’s get ready for the John Durham smear campaign. Let’s see. Will Democrats pull the racist card from an anonymous fraternity brother in the 1970’s? Maybe a made up sexual assault accusation witnessed by an anonymous source. Or maybe an anonymous source heard from a friend whose brother dates this girl who is the cousin of the guy who works for the aunt who married the uncle of the brother who once knew the son of man who once worked as a janitor for the nephew of girl who once heard Durham say the “N word”?

I know you want that to be true. You're going to be right one day, hang in there.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/14/us/politics/durham-sussmann-trump-russia.html
Special Counsel John Durham released in a filing Saturday that the Hillary Clinton campaign hired techs to "infiltrate" Trump Tower and White House servers to establish a "narrative" to link Trump to Russia.

The new findings contradict various media coverage from programs like CBS’ "60 Minutes."

In an October 2020 interview, Trump appeared on the news magazine to address the ongoing investigation and his claim his campaign was spied on.
He was shot down by host Lesley Stahl, who insisted the president was spreading unverified information.
"There’s no real evidence," she said. "This is ’60 Minutes.’ We can’t put on things we can’t verify."

I also have not made ANY predictions on this current subject.....only passing on news....deal with it.
All you do is make up stuff and come running to the board with right wing propaganda. I hate to see you all get your hopes up again, too late.

So John Durham is lying? You realize he would be disbarred for doing so? You’re really taking that angle?

Amazing how anonymous sources and no evidence to support the claims always get Democrats excited. But find statements under oath and factual evidence to support it mean nothing to them. Wonder how msm would handle this story if Durham filed a similar claim against Trump? Maybe moetard can answer that?
