This is a Hail Mary/desperation hire. Clown refuses to fire Parker. If Clown doesn’t hand over full play calling duties to Harrell, it’s going to be the same results, just a different year.

There's really only maybe a dozen teams, give or take a few that actually have a shot at winning a national championship. The expansion of the playoffs to four actually hurts WVU's chances, and even Michigan's chances. If you were fortunate enough to run the table back in the day, you had a chance to beat a good team in a single, winner takes all game. Now, having to do that twice (under the current format) is hard for a team like WVU. Expand the playoffs to 12, and it will be even more difficult. Obviously, making it to a playoff would be a big deal, but winning it would be another thing.
Do you have anything positive to add? Otherwise--blah! What qualifies YOU as the final arbiter on retention of coaches?
what you say is pretty much true....WVU's 88 and 93 teams may have been left out of today's playoff situation. For most P5 programs their goal will have to be make the playoffs consistently with the hope that maybe, just maybe the stars align one year. Today money talks (doesn't it coach prime?) especially with the NIL and there's nothing the ncaa (no clue about athletics) will do about it
College football has always been #1 on my list of things I enjoy (not counting drinking, sex, and watching porn).
Never thought I would say this, but it's starting to become less and less enjoyable now, with the NIL and transfer portal. I'm guessing at some point, I'll probably just opt to do my yard work on Saturdays, and sit out on the porch drinking beers. Hate seeing this turn into an NFL type thing.
I may be doing a lot of watching soon...got dr appt tomorrow to see about possible hip replacement
