Aaron’s sister?
Had 2 friends contract COVID, both unvaccinated at time they got it.
One was 38, weight issues, had blood clots in both lungs from COVID, came within a **** hair of being put on a vent. When he recovered he got vaccinated.
Had another friend, 54 no health issues get it, ended up on vent and died.
The choice is yours, I personally don’t care what you do, I’m just going to do what I need to do to stay healthy
My perfectly healthy and athletic 17-year-old niece who plays both softball and soccer at a high level chose to get vaccinated against the minimal risks posed by COVID to kids her age SOLELY because it lessened the odds that she would be arbitrarily banned from competing due to the WVSSAC's "close contact tracing" rules. Since vaccination, she has suddenly developed an atrial fibrillation that her docs say was most likely caused by the vaccine, and threatens her ability to play sports at all. So suffice it to say that I believe the whole "take the vaccine or don't take the vaccine" decision is a hell of lot more complicated than you have chosen to portray it, especially when you consider the overall mortality rate of the virus in younger people and those who do not have any serious pre-existing co-morbidities. :-(

Everyone should make their own decisions, but hospitals should tell unvaccinated to pick up some NyQuil, chicken noodle soup and go home
Dont stop there! Tell all people with self inflicted illness to go home . Sounds pretty awesome

Smokers with lung cancer aren’t straining the health care system like unvaccinated olds that do not comprehend math
Key word "olds" they are old enough to make their own choices.
I'd say heart disease, diabetes, self inflicted cancer , disease brought on by alcohol and drugs & obesity put a strain on the health system. Oh yeah seems this China virus is pretty hard on those same people......go figure? But this vaccine that does NOT stop the spread should be singled out & doctors shouldn't treat those who dont take it .....that's some funny stuff .

It doesn’t stop the spread, but it does reduce your chance of being hospitalized with a serious case …. So take your chance without a vax, just don’t run to the hospital and expect to be treated

Unfortunately for you all, that’s now how it works. Remember, free healthcare for all.

I’m pretty conservative and totally against mandates of any kind, but how someone with the cognitive ability of a 4th grader can’t look at the numbers and determine the vax is in their best interest with any sort of co-morbidity blows my mind

If I was in poor health or older the risk /reward would tell me to get the shot , but its still a choice & the right to choose is most important. Now if this vaccine stopped the spread I might make a different argument.

Exactly!!! Just like overweight people with diabetes should be sent home without treatment and be told to watch what they eat. Cigarette smokers with lung cancer should be sent home without treatment and be told to quit smoking. Folks with substance use disorders should not be given access to treatment. Makes perfect sense. (sarcasm mode off)

I agree, but, it’s their choice. You should respect it.

What? Hahahhaa, those people make up the overwhelming largest percentage of every day hospital cases. They’re the reason Medicare and Medicaid costs take up over half the damn budget. Jesus, talk about I’ll-informed.

In 2019, 1.5 million people died of diabetes. You are truly clueless. To the extent the healthcare system is strained because of Covid - a false narrative - perhaps it was a poor idea to fire thousands of healthcare workers for refusing to be injected with an experimental drug…a drug that neither prevents a person from acquiring or transmitting Covid.

I’m against mandates, I just think people with co-morbidities are stupid for not getting the vax and shouldn’t go running to the hospital when they get it and end up really sick

But what about the millions & millions of other self inflicted diseases? Those are completely self inflicted & people get them on purpose. But covid that was accidentally (except by our government) spread & caught should not be treated because some older person is scared of a new vaccine that the creators of covid is telling them is safe ?
