Looks like the American Athletic Conference is doing the Herd a favor, by likely taking six C-USA schools.

With a little luck, this could be the end of C-USA. Perhaps the Sun Belt could invite the Herd, La Tech, WKU, MTSU, Southern Miss, and maybe Liberty. Would be a much better conference, in my opinion. Not sure why AAC is interested in taking a half dozen C-USA stiffs, but must be for TV markets, which nobody in those markets even cares about the local schools. They're saying Charlotte, Rice, North Texas, UAB, UTSA, and Florida Atlantic to the AAC.

I've always thought that as well...a TV market is only relevant is someone is actually watching the telecast! The AAC without Cincinnati, Houston and SMU is unattractive, IMHO!
