That's why WVU needs to be in a conference closer to home. Fans are able to drive to many of the away games. Always hated going to Byrd Stadium though, as well as Pitt's old stadium. Both forced you to have to walk up a hill. Regardless, West Virginia is well situated and shaped odd enough to allow many parts of the state to be within close driving destinations of many other schools, whether it be Pitt, PSU, Maryland, UVA, Va Tech.
Little over 3 hours 25 minutes (206.6 mi) via I-68 E
Jefferson County is 1 hour 30 minutes away.
Charleston it's 5 hours 30 min.

Thanks. A little longer than I had thought. It would be similar to a trip from the Kanawha Valley to Cincinnati, I suppose.
