I never follow soccer at any level, and I wouldn't care now if it weren't for the Marshall fans on this forum crowing about it. But anyway congrats to the Herd for making it to the championship game. Should Marshall win it all in soccer it would be about as impressive as our National Championships in rifle - another sport that no one cares about other than fans of the team that won it.

I've always tried to find these huge rifle events on TV, but so far, I've never seen one. Meanwhile, the NCAA national championship game will be carried by ESPN on Monday night in primetime. Perhaps they'll show highlights of this year's pop gun finals during the halftime show?
Who won pop gun this year? Actually, who cares for the 62nd consecutive year?

Marshall winning a national championship would be good for the state.
Yes, it's soccer, a sport that most of us don't give two ***** about, but most major P5 programs compete in soccer, so a small school like Marshall winning the title would be a big deal in West Virginia, or at least it should be.
Stop being an ******* (like me) for a few days and root for the Herd.
Please explain how Marshall winning a national soccer championship would be good for the state. I doubt if many across the country even know which state Marshall is located in. It won't be any more beneficial to the state than WVU's multiple national rifle championships. Having said that I will say good luck to the Herd in the championship match.
I already said I hope Marshall wins it. What are you crying about little guy? I dont know what good it does for the state. Its not a revenue sport. I hope they win it regardless. Why are you and other Marshall fans bringing up our rifle titles and trying to compare soccer to rifle? You guys havent won the title yet and inatead if enjoying your success you are instead trying to make a case that one title is more important than the other. Its really pathetic
