Leftists at that time were desperate for anything they could blame on Trump. Nothing's changed.

Any treatment on that low life was wasted resources. He was death waiting to happen. The amount of drugs he had in his system was enough to kill the 4 officers around him. This type of person isn't someone to get all that upset about. The young man in Georgia, Ahmad Aubrey is someone who's death should be protested.OK, GF was jacked on drugs and probably incoherent. The delay getting him into custody meant he was delayed in potential treatment for his self inflicted problems. I can not remember how long he was kept on the ground, but if there was a stomach pump or treatment that could have saved him in time, to me the officer in charge is still responsible. When someone is sick or injured, getting medical help quickly is critical. The only way these officers get any consideration from me is if the cocktail GF took killed him so quickly there was no chance for him to survive. In spite of GFs issues, the officers in control of him still needed to act quickly to get him medical help. And time was nobody’s friend.
Screamed it over and over sitting upright in the cruiser while he was freaking out. They pulled him out of the cruiser so he didn’t hurt himself and then put him on the ground where he again was going batshit. Then the knee to keep him still, as a crowd began to form. Then, the officers began keeping him restrained on the ground while tending to the crowd as it was becoming more “involved”.You do realize Floyd was put into a police cruiser before the video you saw was taken?
you are also aware that he said he couldn’t breathe while seatedin the cruiser?

The video I saw showed Floyd walking out of the store and going to his car and then coming back and sitting at the base of the wall outside of the store. Then the cops showed up in two vehicles, one a cruiser and one a SUV. They speak to Floyd for a few minutes and then you see a 3rd car come in across the street and on the next block. From there Floyd was detained and walked/drug across the street to the 3rd car to where the video of him being choked was shot. They walked past a police SUV to try to stuff a big man in the back of a cop car. That doesn’t make sense. There are several other things I have mentioned previously that make no sense either. You do realize Floyd was put into a police cruiser before the video you saw was taken?

Way better video was either released or leaked. This was a surveillance video from a business to the left from where he passed the counterfeit money.
All it takes is reasonable doubt. In that video, there was certainly enough to give the officer the benefit of the doubt, at least in my mind. I have a slightly different perspective just based on my experiences and actually understand how quickly things can spiral out of control in milliseconds.I posted this back in August and my opinion of the case hasn't changed....

Well, with the video and the fact that he had enough Fentanyl in his body to kill him, it does bring questions. Floyd was complaining about not being able to breathe LONG before the officer put his knee on Floyd's neck. That's what the video clearly shows. Fentanyl slows the heart and restricts breathing. A very powerful opioid. It's like morphine but twice as powerful.
Did the Fentanyl kill him? Did the cop kill him? Was a mixture of both?
The fact that Fentanyl will kill you by slowing your heart rate and suffocate you along with the fact that he was complaining about not being able to breathe several minutes before they held him to the ground while resisting the whole time, is there enough for the defense to bring about reasonable doubt?
The video and other facts that just come out definitely changes things. I don't know all of the facts, but I think there is enough to where they can't convict all of the officers. I also think there's a chance the officer who used his knee may get out of murder or manslaughter. At most, I think he gets involuntary manslaughter. Clearly there was no racial motive.
I think there's a slight chance he'll be exonerated. It's a shame today's America doesn't follow our justice system. Nowadays it's guilty until proven innocent. Lots of recent examples of it as well.
Whatever the verdict..... Minneapolis burnsOther than a likelihood of rioting and violence either way, what's your thought on the ruling as of right now? Chauvin is facing two charges.
What is second-degree unintentional murder?
For a conviction of second-degree unintentional murder, the state's prosecutors will have to show beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd's death while assaulting him.
What is second-degree manslaughter?
In order to convict Chauvin of second-degree manslaughter, prosecutors will need to show beyond a reasonable doubt that he was negligent and took an "unreasonable risk" with Floyd's life when he restrained him and that his actions put Floyd at risk of death or great harm.
I think Chauvin gets off on the 2nd degree unintentional murder.
I see a 50/50 chance of 2nd degree manslaughter. Depends on what and how the evidence is presented.
Almost exactly a year prior to the day Floyd died with a fatal dose of fentanyl in his body he was also the subject of a lawful arrest and also apparently ingested illicit drugs to avoid their discovery by the arresting officers. In that case Floyd received hospital care and did not die as a result of the drug ingestion. However, I don't think the defense will be allowed to introduce this as evidence unless the prosecution opens the door to it per a judge ruling.
The evidence is clear (I think) that Floyd died as a result of ingesting a lethal drug combo (to avoid arrest for that). But can it be proven that the actions of Chauvin (and I would say others) delayed his treatment? The knee on the neck was not the factor that may have lead to his delay in treatment...it was the delay in getting him in the cruiser. It can be argued I'm sure that Floyd had a hand in that delay - getting in the cruiser and then fighting to get out and subsequent resisting. But did the officers know Floyd 1) had ingested drugs or 2) what drugs he may have ingested...and could they have got him to the hospital in time if they knew what he had done to himself?
Did they have the video of him holding a pregnant women at gunpoint while he robed her? He wasn't worth spit. The video I saw showed Floyd walking out of the store and going to his car and then coming back and sitting at the base of the wall outside of the store. Certainly makes me think that was an act.Way better video was either released or leaked. Changes the narrative quite a bit.
Not disagreeing at all. I am of the belief this was all a set up to cause a cultural/racial issue.Did they have the video of him holding a pregnant women at gunpoint while he robed her? He wasn't worth spit.
We are ascribing way too much credit to an ignorant bunch of people. BLMNot disagreeing at all. I am of the belief this was all a set up to cause a cultural/racial issue.
Not ignorant. Very smart, cunning and evil.We are ascribing way too much credit to an ignorant bunch of people. BLM
When you see the sealed body cam footage the government wanted, and got, sealed, you will see many of the answers to your questions. somehow the British media Star got its hands on it and published it. Select media were allowed to view the footage but not copy or report on it...supposedly to preserve the fairness of the trial. IMO, it was done to prevent another “oops” moment where BLM spent months destroying a town in Missouri then slipped away silently into the night when it was proven their claims were false. The video I saw showed Floyd walking out of the store and going to his car and then coming back and sitting at the base of the wall outside of the store. So are you saying this video is good for then defense or prosecution? When you see the sealed body cam footage the government wanted, and got, sealed, you will see many of the answers to your questions. somehow the British media Star got its hands on it and published it. like any judge will tell you, the surveillance footage often sets the scene but the body cameras tell you what happened.
Defense. What it really addresses are the homicide charges. If he couldn’t breath when seated in the squad car with no knee on him, was it the knee or something else that restricted his breathing? All it takes is 1 juror to be unsure. And with the amount of fentanyl in Floyd’s system and the symptom of a fentanyl overdose is respiratory failure....So are you saying this video is good for then defense or prosecution?
There are only so many challenges each side can make during voir dire. I think 6 for this level of charge. SoCo can correct me if I’m wrong. This guy as a Sales Manager is likely a deliberative person not easily given to emotion. There is a reason why he wasn’t challenged even given his feelings towards BLM.Two new jurors were chosen Wednesday to serve during the trial, an immigrant from Africa and a man who has a wedding planned May 1.
The two additions mean a total of five jurors have been chosen thus far: four men and a woman.
The first juror chosen Wednesday was a man who told the court he works as a sales manager and said he and his fiancé planned a wedding in Florida with about 30 friends and family. He said serving on the jury would be an inconvenience, but if chosen, he'd make accommodations and "would probably operate under the fact that if I'm on this jury, I will not be able to get married on that date."
After chosen to serve, Judge Peter Cahill told the man to "throw me under the bus with your fiance," leading to laughs in the courtroom and the man replying, "I will."
The man said he supported Black Lives Matter and had an overall negative perception of the Blue Lives Matter movement, which he said he views as a "ripoff" of Black Lives Matter.
sounds like he died of natural cauDefense. What it really addresses are the homicide charges. Also, Recall the Floyd family/naacp/BLM hired Dr. Baden to conduct an IME After the state’s expert opined the officers didn’t kill Floyd. The humor is by sealing that video, Dr. Baden never got to see it before rendering his opinion. Now, at trial he has to explain how the knee made Floyd unable to breathe when Floyd was already complaining of being unable to breathe long before he was even on the ground. It makes the prosecution‘s star witness look like a hack paid to provide the opinions his clients wanted.
Due process says hello. Let's see how this plays out as it's only day 2.Noone should die like that man did. He was a human being. That was murder plain and simple. Lock that cop away for good.
Just say no to drugs and he is alive today.Noone should die like that man did. He was a human being. That was murder plain and simple. Lock that cop away for good.
Of an overdose from fentanyl, ingested when he thought he was getting arrested, because he was attempting to pass counterfeit money?Noone should die like that man did. He was a human being. That was murder plain and simple. Lock that cop away for good.

Umm isn’t that what this trial is about? What about Floyd's due process? It went out the window when he was murdered on the street by a cop.
People's minds are already made up and they have been since last May. No facts will change that.Umm isn’t that what this trial is about?
He did have three times the amount of Fentanyl needed to kill him in his system. I don't think there's anyway Chauvin isn't convicted. Whether he should for a human pos like him is a whole different question. What about Floyd's due process? It went out the window when he was murdered on the street by a cop.
The store clerk testified today that he thought Floyd was high and behaving strangely. Same suspicion the police officers had when they first encountered Floyd. Also, there apparently is a 10 minute security video inside the store showing Floyd acting oddly, including dancing. He did have three times the amount of Fentanyl needed to kill him in his system. I hadn't heard any of today's testimony. Based on day 1 and day 2, I'm not too sue the prosecution is up to the task on this one...at least if things are being based on facts and not emotions. The store clerk testified today that he thought Floyd was high and behaving strangely. A drug addict dancing and acting strangely? I'm shocked. Just glad he didn't pull a gun and hold it on a pregnant woman that he was trying to rob. "My daddy going to change the world!" No he's not, just another coked up addict in a large city. The store clerk testified today that he thought Floyd was high and behaving strangely. I am, and have been of the opinion that these are for show cases. The Zimmerman one, Freddie Grey, and now this one. All hell was breaking loose, so they opted to charge a weak case knowing they couldn’t win. It stops the rioting, shows the Govt marginally gives a ****, and fuels the movement regardless of outcome, of which, I think they intentionally tank. Either outcome, they have a narrative to fuel the mob with. As someone else said, it’s either a racist system or a racist cop ergo, system. The store clerk testified today that he thought Floyd was high and behaving strangely. I haven't concluded if they are merely doing a dog and pony show to appease the masses because they know their case is weak. I'm glad the Ferguson prosecutor's office took a historically different approach and went public with the grand jury information.I hadn't heard any of today's testimony. Based on day 1 and day 2, I'm not too sue the prosecution is up to the task on this one...at least if things are being based on facts and not emotions.
I'm Glad the prosectuors in Ferguson had some balls. I can count the number of times Grand Jury evidence has been public on 1 hand. They went public and aired the BLM ******** for everyone to see. It was beautiful.I am, and have been of the opinion that these are for show cases. The Zimmerman one, Freddie Grey, and now this one. No real pressure on the DA to win, they just have to show the people they “tried”, and then blame the system. They look tough, and try to pivot off of it for higher office. In this specific case, Ellison, I’m not sure what he wants, but maybe it’s Governorship. I know in Baltimore, the Mosby’s, Nick and Marilyn, wanted the Gov mansion and more.
Didn’t Cameron do the same for Breanna Taylor? Or did he just give a synopsis?I'm Glad the prosectuors in Ferguson had some balls. I can count the number of times Grand Jury evidence has been public on 1 hand. They went public and aired the BLM ******** for everyone to see. It was beautiful.
Nope. He didn't have a chance to go to court.Umm isn’t that what this trial is about?
