Pretty...the club house reminded me of San Diego, Congressional.

It's amazing that both Avenel and Congressional are almost located
side-by-side in Potomac Md, off of Bradley Blvd, i think.
Walked thru it several times. Roomed with Allen Barber and he won it.

I don't think he'll ever win when the weather is poor due to his back and age.

It was a wedge

Easier to swing and aim.

Tiger has not been the same since that wedge incident. That and his secret Vegas life being exposed along with suspect trips to Canada for "special shots" for his back. Many thought he was juicing to have strength in his long game and power out of high thick roughs.

I've watched both now. Enjoyed it. Earl's own flawed character brought down Tiger. Didn't know about his first girl friend, that was something new. Earl was getting a lot of money from Nike and she was a threat to his lively hood. Probably the reason he and Tida made him write that letter. Shame really for her.

I have one connection thru an agent and that's the scuttlebutt. HGH, hard to impossible to detect, and that allows you to continue to work out when age would make you stop. You aren't supposed to do things at 30 that you could do at 20. His body broke down. The ALIF surgery was a god send. I think he can compete in the Masters and the Open against the young guys. Think that it will also be weather involved too. Can't be too cold

Jack a favorite of mine to watch play.
I watched him play with arnold in an exhibition at Lakeview. On that par 5 on the front, Jac hit a 3 wood, 5 iron and make an eagle. I played there 10 years ago in a scramble, we ued my drive and hit sand wedge to it. Ball just goes so much further now

Hard to believe Jack hit
#18 Green
on 2 shots - Lakeview.

Must be ~~ 600** yards uphill
dogleg left
up a ~~80 foot hill.

** factoring in elevation change
and before technology driven equipment **

As I said, he was it was on the front, downhill par five. He never tried on 18, way too long. he actually sucked the ball back on 18 to about 40 ft with a short iron. I remember him saying the greens were too soft. Of courses, we had a hour rain and lightning delay

Think there is a plaque
that said as such. Apparently this occurred while Lakeview was top 100 course.

600 yards dogleg left, up hill. #18 finishing hole - Lakeview.

600 yards in 2 -
#18 Lakeview --

I' ve been told a few times.

I was there, don't have to be told. Jack never even tried. I think somebody has said John Daly maybe but I doubt it. Jack shot 67. Arnie was around 75.

Jack - This occurred in the 60s, apparently. 18 in 2 Lakeview Jack.

Anyway maybe a mith, but when I played Lakeview years ago --
I just remember hitting a house up the hill on the right and went over there to retrieve my ball
and there was many balls
to choose from.

Finishing Hole extrodantair 18

I can tell you it didn't happen at 600 yards in the 60's. Ball went nowhere back then; I don't think it can be reached today. It's all uphill

Yep...
But I was told that the shot occurred in 60s or early 70s..

Heard there is a plaque,
celebrating
the shot.
I've told more than once.

I was to busy licking my wounds to check.

I was there for the exhibition in 77. Jack was coming off of MAsters win in 75, He was at his peak. He would have done it then if he could. It's really, really long. Played there 4 times. There's no plaque

I just remembered that one of his dick jockeys came forward cause he wouldn't pay to fix her car. It wasn't a small amount, maybe $5,000 but he was notorious for being cheap.

Yep...not paying for PuTang; therefore, no paper trail also --》 Tiger.

Or in mofo spelling "Tail"...

Not paying for tail,
there's no PAPER Trail.

Just illustrates how screwed up he was about paying for things. After hutch Harmon sent him the bill for his wkrk, the tiger slam run, tiger dropped him cause the bill was too big
