Very smart lady! Would make a great President. One of the very few Democrats, that I would vote for.

Today is the day that twitter plans to remove all brown users from their platform. All whites only from now on.

Crazy these companies are more powerful than our Government. We may as well get rid of Government and kneel to our big tech demigods

It’s astonishing how butthurt you are over private companies making decisions. :joy::joy:
Making these sorts of moves could be counter productive to their profitability though. If they set themselves as censors, are they a platform that is not responsible for content posted or a publisher who is.

The selective nature of their censors makes them publishers IMO.

Private companies (especially non-monopolies) are free to make all the decisions they see fit, as long as they fall within the bounds of the law.

Are they setting themselves as a censor or enforcing their TOS?

Profit affects is between the board and shareholders.

I agree if they are responsible for everything that is posted on their site and not taken down they will be sued pretty quickly.
Their algorithm in itself that is designed to get people emotional also comes into question.

They don't call him Chicom Coop for nothing

See it's his Conservative principles that keep him from worrying about speech suppression. He can always keep his Conservative views to himself and no one will ever suppress them.

It's actually when he tells congenital lies about being Conservative he has to worry. [eyeroll]

Thar is the gist of the argument. Are they a purely private company if they are reliant on a govt shield to protect them from liability?
