Yet the individual states are responsible for running and certifying their election results. That's a state right. What is being asked by these protests is to overturn specific state election results after 60+ courts, both state and federal, have said that the cases are not viable.

If they protest peacefully, more power to them. They are allowed to voice their frustrations. Breaking through police barriers and taking on police officers isn't peaceful protest, no matter the grievance.
