While we are flashing back to 2016, how many votes separated Clinton from Trump in key states? How long before Clinton conceded the election? What happened when a few Congressmen tried to contest the electoral results?

This is a bad look right now. The sitting POTUS is giving traction to conspiracy theories about the election. With all of your concerns about the previous administration, what did they do when faced with similar issues?

No, they just shifted into "Resist" and "Impeach" and "Collusion".

The damage done by the House (and the Senate in many ways) over the past 4 years will have long lasting ramifications.

I wonder, without Covid, without the massive amounts of mail in voting, would the conspiracies still have people out there pushing them like they do? States like PA and Michigan didn't help themselves when they allowed massive amounts of votes get posted in the middle of the night when everyone went to bed. The optics alone are horrible. But I remember back before the election many predicting that we would go to be on election night with Trump leading, only to wake up and discovering Biden leading.

Maybe to people that would/will never believe a Trump loss anyway.

PA wouldn't allow for early or mail ins to be counted until after all the polls closed on election day. They set themselves up for failure with that. I thought Michigan had similar rules, but I'm not sure.

The impeachment came from the results of an investigation done by a special counsel appointed by this administration's AG. I thought it was politically stupid to go down the impeachment path, same as I thought 20 years prior with party affiliation flopped.

And we can pretend that partisanship hasn't trumped (unintentional pun) patriotism for decades, but that's just pretend. We have had brief instances of both sides working together, but nothing lasting. It's the biggest issue I think we face, and both sides are guilty.

I agree whole heartedly with that. And I don't see an end on the horizon. It's only going to get worse and more divided.

Ahhh, yes, a Hilliary deflection. Here's a prediction. On January 6th, there still will be no evidence of voter fraud.

The entire 2020 Presidential Election was a deflection to keep Biden from the public...and on 1/20 all we will hear is Trump did this, Trump did that...we have an uphill battle...it will take 6 years to fix....

The unserious people are you nuts that think this is anything. The One World government has been coming since the 60s. Find a new angle.

I agree, a Time article is not worth posting...unless it's person of year...and the left goes all in. Oh, and a global governing body loves them some China...so I know you support it.

When the left and the right work together is when the people are hurt the most.
There are generally two things that both sides agree on, spending money and killing people.

Not always. From 95-01 both sides worked together, grudgingly at times. We balanced the budget.

That was not because of the Gov..it was because of the Dotcom economy which lasted about as long as a sailer on leave in Singapore...and ended up giving a disease that led to the 2008 crash.

That was also limits on spending. Some of what led to the 2008 crash was from that time, some before, and some after. Most of that was a reduction in regulation on financial institutions.

The crime bill and the reduction of the Capital Gains tax was the centerpiece bipartisan support, but I don't think that is what we will see moving forward.

It may look the same, Biden a "moderate" and a republican House (slim margin which will flip in two years) and Senate, but moving forward, we are looking at a reverse of that time.

I look forward to Coop and Moe leading the way to reduce spending on entitlement programs while focusing on wasteful spending on green energy. Free College should really get them riled up, thats for sure. Moving closer to a single payor system, with increased federal funding will really send them over the top. I can't wait for us to be on the same side...I need some new friends.

Just curious what was the foreign policy during that time? Did anything tragic happen to come from it?

Pure lie but that is what scum like this poster does.

I've been on this board with Coop going on 20 years and for most of those years have been in disagreement with most of his perspectives. What he stated is the absolute truth. He has been anti-spending especially in the terms of what conservatives used to ***** about and his attitude has never wavered. To his credit and where I do agree with him is he has been in favor of improved tax policy which increases tax revenues.

Big Bad Bru coming in with more slurs.... I have been on this board for under two years,. In those two years he has been 100% anti anything Trump has ever done. I have never seen him go after liberal spending or hold the house responsible for any spending they have floated in those two years or voted and approved...Always Orange Man Bad...prove me wrong! He has also supported Chinese interests over US interests and now that Biden is saying exactly what Trump has been saying, he has yet to denounce him in that regard either....he can't have it both ways...or can he?

I called you out for something the mod said you did not participate in....I even started a thread saying I was mistaken and apologized...guess what...crickets from you...that in itself speaks volumes of your character. When I get something wrong...I admit it....something Coop and your crew refuse to do...they double down until they are so far in that it's easier to keep up the lie....something many on this board do on regular basis....egos get the best of everyone....but some turn into serial killers

“We are what we pretend to be,” Kurt Vonnegut wrote in the opening of his 1962 novel, Mother Night, “and so we must be careful what we pretend to be.” Republicans in Congress are pretending to be seditionists—and so they have become, in fact, seditionists.

This is sedition, plain and simple. No amount of playacting and rationalizing can change the fact that the majority of the Republican Party and its apologists are advocating for the overthrow of an American election and the continued rule of a sociopathic autocrat.

But for Trump, there is no such thing as too much humiliation. The only shame in Trump world lies in admitting defeat. And so Trump doubled down, as anyone who had watched him for more than 10 minutes knew he would. And then he tripled, quadrupled, quintupled down. And just as they have done for the past four years, elected Republicans tried to convince themselves that if they supported this outrage, it would be the last time they would be required to surrender their dignity; that this betrayal of the Constitution would be the last treachery demanded of them. That if they complied one more time, they would be allowed to go back to their privileged lives far from the districts they claim to represent—places few of them really want to live after tasting life in the Emerald City.

It is possible that the sedition caucus knew that all these challenges would fail. It is possible that they know their last insult to American democracy, on Wednesday, will go nowhere, as well. This is irrelevant: Engaging in sedition for insincere reasons does not make it less hideous. Arguing that you betrayed the Constitution only as theater is no defense.

Liberal piss ants have no idea what the definition of treason is.

Using the intel community the DOJ, and FISA courts to lie on and then spy on a duly elected President in a coup attempt to frame him for stealing an election. That's why they never mention it in their diatribes about "treason"....it points out the exact definition of it which they are 100% guilty of.

No, very sane and upset with Trump for trying to steal the election that he lost. You should be too.

You need to open your eyes and stop believing the msm they are liars. Trump won 18 of 19 bell weather counties if you look at previous presidential elections who ever does that has always won. all You have to do is look at the improbable ballot dumps in the middle of the night when no was around. All the swing states stopped counting at the same time. The fraudsters picked the major cities in the swing states to perpetrate their fraud. why Do you think they won’t let people examine the voting machines and ballots, you know the reason it’s because they have something to hide. yesterday someone did a drive by shooting at the forensic auditors house bet you didn’t hear that. The machines in Michigan that were examined proved to be fraudulent weighting ballots towards Biden the truth is out there do some research on your own and don’t listen to twitter bullies and and the msm. If this is not corrected we will never have an honest election again. on Wednesday they will present all the evidence and it is substantial. Trump is no saint but people have let their hatred of the man blind them from the truth. Do you honestly believe a guy who couldn’t draw flies to his events got 80 million votes which is more than Obama ever got?

Watch the entirety of the Republican GA election officials PC yesterday and most if not all of your complaints will be answered. I watched the GA official's PC on the 'MSM' news. Why are you so scared of watching something like that? perhaps because it might differ with your version of election events. This 'evidence' you speak of didn't pass muster in court and it will be no different Wednesday. You've been lied to by the POTUS and his pals and shame on them for misleading so many. How could bipartisan election officials in all of these states miss all of this fraud that you're alleging? It's because it didn't happen. One problem I see is BS explanations of video of election activities made by unaffiliated people that they didn't understand what they were watching or were simply trying to mislead. All you're left with is a bunch of BS stories that you pulled from from far right conspiracy theorist websites.
